Shout out to @503recordsllc @tenderlovingempire and @benchmarkpdx for having me this weekend.

🎨 Designer. Craftsman. Culture curator.
Rob McCallum—founder of @rootsnrooftops—is known for creating timeless designs from the ground up. But when it’s time to refuel in Portland, he taps into something just as soulful: Black-owned food that feeds the body and sparks the mind.
🔥 From Kee’s Loaded Kitchen to Deadstock Coffee to Yaad Style Jamaican Cuisine—this is his go-to map for flavor, community, and creative fuel.

Thank you @skambeezy for inviting me to @benchmark to see #newyork & #jamaica artist/musician @marteikorley1 photos of Jamaica and other bespoke items available there including bags up-cycled from damaged @blklivesmatter banners removed from @portlandartmuseum I particularly like the image of the female practicing her putting skills in the historic home of a slave owner who watches from behind. The #camouflage bag is efficiently designed and well made. Also love the metallic poster of @jasonhill.photo brilliantly colorful portraits. #photos #photography #colorphotography

It’s that time again..

Today I’m releasing Volume VIII, marking 8 years of yearly journaling about the ups and downs of my business. These books are my chance to go deep and vulnerable with my art journey. I’m hoping to inspire at least one entrepreneur with a story or learning along the way.

This years theme is ‘Back Outside.’ Year 8 was about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable promoting my art IRL. The pandemic got me good at making promotional content, but from the safety of my phone screen. Whether it was hosting my first ever art show, being on the news, or making art live for a fall harvest festival, making an effort to be out and touch the community this year was scary at first but incredibly rewarding, with lessons galore.

As always I’m distributing this book as a digital pdf for $0.00. Click The link in my bio to download for free! I’m also offering a physical hardcopy linked in my bio as well if you want to have it as a collectors piece!

Would mean the world if you could give this book a read and offer your feedback. And if you don’t, no worries! Writing this book is a therapeutic exercise every year.

Love yall. Thanks for the support in year 8 🙌🏽❤️
