*Door 3: Environment* ⠀
I've been listening to Dr. Gabor Mate's recent work around the exploration of the systems we live in and how they play a role in our total wellbeing. It's been eye-opening to take a wider lens to the conversation of mental/emotional wellbeing. Instead of focusing on the individual (ie. what's wrong with you?!) we shift it to (what factors are present in the environment that are contributing to this disharmony for you?) -- this is a vital shift in the way we perceive. ⠀
We can't separate ourselves from the systems we live in. We shape them, and then they shape us. I'm curious how we can shift these systems and create more connected, and supportive environments for all of us. I don't know the answers...but I do know this: we can start small, and begin to honor ourselves by creating environments that feel nourishing. Your home, your office, your community, etc. For me, getting outside in nature (out of the romanticization of the "hustle" mode) has been an important reminder of what is important. ❤ #beingisbeautiful illustration: @rororouge

*DOOR 1: Relationships* ⁣
There are so many doors that open and lead us into growth, healing, and expansion. And of course, I am starting with my biggest classroom on this planet: Relationships. ⁣
When we open the door to growth in our relationships we begin to drop the "Me vs You" mentality, and begin to step into the "Us vs the patters/cycles" mentality. This shift moves us from feeling powerless to feeling hopeful. It moves us from blame and shame into agency and vulnerability. ⁣
Your relationships are here to shake up old stuff. They are here to play out old patterns so that we can move through and beyond them. They are here to mirror and trigger. They are here so that you can meet yourself through the connections you have with others. ⁣
What a classroom, right? ⁣
When you're triggered in a relationship get curious? Is this my shadow, or an earlier life trigger coming up to be healed? How can I show up differently now? How can I show up in a way that honors my heart/truth/little you? ⁣
