It’s no mistake that we opened our little makerspace in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood.

This is where our families live, we work, play, raise our kids, and where we choose to build community everyday. We have both had the joy of residing in many different parts of this magical city. So it didn’t come lightly when we chose to put down roots in this part of town— a multi-generational neighborhood tucked by the river filled with artists, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, community seekers, young families and those who seek to align their values with their actions.

Today we highlight some of the rad makers of Sellwood-Moreland including our buddy @jgspdx, @rorsjarckson of @secretroompdx, and the OG Lynn Read of @vitreluxe

Are you an artist or small business owner in Sellwood-Moreland? Free tonight? We will be representing the Sellwood Moreland Business Alliance as board members at tonight’s Fall Small Business Mixer. Meet us @smittystaphouse with food from @dickspizzapdx from 5-7pm. (Pizza and first drink on us!)

SELLWOOD - world’s most fascinating neighborhood

Absolutely wonderful illustration by @rorsjarckson for the @willametteweek Fall Arts Guide. Portland has an incredible movie theater scene but it’s really cool to see the often underrated Moreland Theater in the spotlight here.
Seen a lot of movies here over the years, and a lot of friends, too.

So proud to illustrate the cover of the 2026 Fall Arts Guide for @willametteweek . As someone who fell in love with Portland nearly two decades ago, it means so much to be a little part of the fabric of the city in this way. Big thank yous to @971grl for the art direction and @morelandtheater for the inspiration.

The postcard show at @secretroompdx is so fun!! Find this postcard and like 57 others (each by a different artist) at the show at their shop! Scroll through for picture of a slice of the show, proof my zines are at the shop (go buy them!), friends in brown posing with my postcard (that brown is just full opacity purple and orange, so cool) and a daisy my roomba drew. (It runs in the family)

Also thanks to everyone saying nice things about my design at the show! It’s nice to hear you like it, because my brains mean first thought was like, ‘wish the lettering was better.’ I can’t overemphasize how cool all the other designs are!! So many nice artists to be in company with. 💜🧡
