Nature, Travel, Adventure - Sedona Vortex Experiences & Retreats

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For most people, plant medicine is this big scary thing.

But what they don’t know, is the amount of love uniting the people who seek this type of cure.

Yes it’s scary. No it’s not always pretty. Yes you will face your demons. We all do. No it’s not all love and light. Most definitely not.

But the love that is born from a shared desire to heal, that’s also part of the medicine.

People coming together to heal each other. To partake in each other’s stories.

That’s also part of the journey. Part of what the people whose land we step on want to share with us.

That’s also medicine.

Join us in our healing journey.

What if joy isn’t a distraction from spiritual life, but the clearest sign you’re living it?

« Ever since i’ve been back from the Amazon, I keep pondering about Joy and its place within spirituality.
“Só Alegria!” - “Only Joy!” is a phrase the Shawãdawa people would many times during sacred ceremonies. Always bringing us back to the most important vibration of all - that of Love.

We have this idea of the sacred and spirituality that it means being serious, that it requires silence, stillness, effort…

We also stigmatize Joy as being something fleeting, some naive, shallow emotion that even has become performative.

But the Shawãdawa taught me something else.

What if the child running through the village is also the sacred? that the laughter after a meal is also the prayer?

What if Joy isn’t a break from the sacred… but rather a proof that it’s working?

I am learning that joy is not a destination. It emerges from being in relationship. With the land. With the people. With the moment. It’s not something you feel despite hardship, but it coexists with hardship, loss, ceremony, even grief. It doesn’t even need to cancel those things out to be real. And it doesn’t have to be a goal either. BUT. you gotta let yourself see it, and feel it.

It became clear during our time with the Shawãdawa: the sacred and the mundane don’t fight each other. They are each other.” - @fern4mila

Thank you to the Shawãdawa people for the teachings 🦋 @taeshawadawa @shawadawatae

Last night I booked a sunrise hike on a whim.

After I signed up, I realized I knew the guide. Twenty years ago, Rosane Gibson visited Wallaby Ranch, and this morning our paths crossed again on the red rocks of Sedona.

The other couple on the hike? Also from Florida.

Thousands of miles from home, yet somehow we all ended up together in the Arizona desert watching the sun come up.

Coincidence? Maybe.

Or maybe Sedona has a little magic of its own. ✨

If you’re visiting Sedona, I highly recommend a sunrise hike with @rosanegibson .

“I packed binoculars. A journal. Two books. Supplements. An outfit for every day.

I used none of it.”

Turns out when you’re actually living, there’s nothing to observe from a distance. Nothing to write down. Nothing to process. You’re just... there. Fully!
For the first time in a long time.

The Shawãdawa didn’t hand us a schedule or a workbook. They just let us in. And somehow that was everything we needed.

Come as you are, but leave lighter than you arrived 🫶

We brought to the Shawãdawa a group of people from all around the world.

Singapore.
Canada.
Hawai’i.
United States.
Brazil,
And beyond.

What happened was beyond our biggest hopes.
It goes to show the care and the love people from totally different horizons, cultures and cosmologies can have for each other.

We arrived strangers, and we left a family. Brothers and sisters bonded by the shared experience of healing and hardships we all went through.

Seeing each other for who we really are, stripped of titles, comfort and masks; that is the real definition of love.

We planned a retreat. The forest had other plans. Beyond what we could have imagined.

This is the kind of laughter that only happens when something inside you has finally let go.

Deeply grateful to the Shawãdawa people, people of the Macaw. 🦜

Do you ever feel like words aren’t enough? That images don’t do justice?

Here is a glimpse of the experience we’ve had last week in the Arara Encantada village, with the Shawãdawa people, deep in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing pieces of this journey through photos and videos, in an attempt to communicate the beauty of this experience with those who weren’t there in person.

The profound impact this experience had on us wasn’t meant to be kept. It was meant to be shared, and to move more people.

It is part of our mission to spread the love we’ve received, and to share Indigenous wisdom.

Follow along for the rest of the story. And if something stirs in you, you know where to find us. 🦋

Day 3 in the heart of the Amazon… and already so much has shifted.

What happens here is hard to explain in words. It is intimate, profound, deeply human. Healing is not only in the ceremony, but in the integration, the community, the love, and the wisdom shared by the Arara family.

So grateful to witness these breakthroughs and hold this space. A small glimpse of something sacred.

Mystical Magical Sedona!
✨🌟🌙
Took a little time for myself to re-center, to re-energize in nature, and to reconnect with dear friends.

So grateful for these little moments of delight and peace so I can be ready to support another cycle of school, athletics, and another cycle for my family and business.
