“Some songs don’t just play — they heal.” 🌙

When I first heard “Loving Me” by @janine, I felt something awaken — not the kind of awakening that happens all at once, but the quiet realization that maybe, just maybe, I could finally love the parts of myself I once hid.

That feeling became the heartbeat behind The Power of Self-Love Series — a journey of healing, awareness, and becoming.
It’s about embracing every scar, every lesson, every moment we thought broke us… and realizing it was all leading us home.

Because self-love isn’t a destination — it’s the way we walk ourselves back to wholeness, one gentle step at a time. 💖

For a long time, I thought self-acceptance meant pretending I was okay.
Smiling through the ache. Shrinking my needs so I wouldn’t be too much.
Convincing everyone I was fine so I didn’t have to admit how lost I felt.

The truth is… I didn’t feel worthy of being loved.
I thought people stayed out of obligation, not because they wanted to.
And when you carry that belief long enough, you start to see yourself through the lens of everyone who couldn’t love you properly.

It took me years to realize that self-acceptance isn’t about fixing yourself —
it’s about finally seeing yourself.

The broken parts. The brave parts. The parts you hid to survive.
It’s looking in the mirror and whispering,
“I forgive you. I see you. You’re still here — and that’s enough.”

That’s where The Power of Self-Acceptance began.
In that quiet, trembling moment where I stopped chasing validation
and started remembering who I was before the world told me otherwise.

🌙
“Awareness is not judgment. It’s the first step in your journey to healing.”

There’s something sacred about the moment you finally stop trying to become someone else — and choose, instead, to simply be. 🌙

The Power of Self-Acceptance isn’t about perfection.
It’s about remembering who you are beneath the expectations, the self-doubt, and the noise.
It’s a gentle return to your truth — to the light that’s always been there.

Each page was written to help you breathe again… to meet yourself with grace, and to remember that healing isn’t becoming new — it’s coming home. 💫

Because you were never too much, never too broken, and never too late to begin again. 💗

Happy 7th birthday to my brownies! Madi, Gypsy, and Teddy! You all came to be part of the pack under different circumstances, but I’ve loved you all since I laid eyes on you! (Some throwback photos to come) you each bring such unique personalities to the pack! Madi always the goofball, ready to play or find trouble! Gypsy the lover and everyone’s friend! And sweet Teddy, my very handsome and shy boy! I love you all so much! #Dogs #dogsofinstagram #happybirthday #dogslife #pawty #dogs_of_instagram #spoileddog #dog #partytime #pawtytime #7 #tripplethefun

Belle stole my heart when she was a few weeks old. She crawled into the sleeve of my jacket and I knew she was mine. I was not looking for another dog! I had four at home already. But I knew she was meant for me! Subsequently, she led to us getting Madi, which led to Gypsy and eventually Teddy. I love my pack of #dogs #dogsofinstagram #happybirthday #pawty #dogs_of_instagram #dogslife #spoileddog #happybirthdaytoyou #rescue #souldog #sweetgirl #myheart

Need a serotonin boost? Here you go! More on this later, but: I’m really sorry to those I haven’t touched base with yet. I was busy with a joint bday doggy pawty!!! For those of you who have been tagging along, my Gus suffered a heart attack in April. So having a joint belated heat pawty with Sophia is just as the Dr. ordered!!

This year has been hard. But being able to do little things like this for Gus and the fur babes mean the world to me. And let’s just say he ate his cake pretty much to himself and gorged himself silly. That’s my boy! Stay tuned for part 2 😍😍😍
