FINAL FAREWELL
It’s very difficult to write this post. After almost five years trading at this site and close to four of Rosenbaum & Fuller, it’s time to say goodbye to our little home away from home at 13 O’Brien St.
There are a multitude of factors that have gone into this decision, I’m sure we’re all aware of the headwinds blowing for most of the time we’ve been trading and those that are on the horizon. While we’ve delighted in being a port in the storm through this for you our lovely guests, these events have taken a toll. But it’s not just negative factors that have influenced this decision. I’ve just had a child and I want to take my life in a new direction that unfortunately means I don’t want to continue to operate the business. It’s been one of the hardest decisions of my life to make.
We will be closing on Saturday 30th of July for our final night’s service. I wanted to reach out with this very personal post in order to give some context for this decision and to try and show you how much it’s meant to me to have you be a part of our little joint.
We’ve been blessed with some wonderful staff throughout our innings and I will be acknowledging some of the key members every day until we close as a way of saying thanks and hopefully jogging some pleasant memories.
I hope that we’ve made the world a little more aware of the amazing produce and booze available in this wide brown land, how rich and important Aboriginal culture and ingredients are, and that consuming in a more sustainable fashion doesn’t need to be boring or bland.
If you’re able, we would love to see you in for our final two weeks at the venue. As a small token of thanks, we’ll be offering 20% off all bottles of wine* in venue, and 40% off to take away*.
Thank you again for all your support and being a part of my dream, I hope to see you again.

Since opening his Sydney restaurant and bar @rosenbaumandfuller in 2018, the hospitality veteran has put native ingredients and flavours first, celebrating the best of what this Great Southern Land has to offer. Enter the Australiano Spider a play on the fizzy drink and ice-cream combination we all loved as a child, but with a grown-up twist using @marionetteliqueur bitter orange curaçao and @maidenii sweet vermouth.

“Everyone loves a spider, we’ve upgraded the ice-cream and soft drink wonder with the Negroni-esque Americano made with Aussie ingredients,” says Potter Cavanagh.

Say hi to Callum and Lee from @rosenbaumandfuller, a family owned bar and bistro based in the heart of Bondi Beach! Their cocktail menu celebrates some of Australia’s favourite flavours including indigenous ingredients and Australian spirits.
