‘The Dinner Party’ tableau from ‘Chosen’, a wedding editorial special I created for @noctismagazine 💘 Shot at the @yopo.london @themandrakehotel - when I first spotted this space while shooting another project at the hotel, I instantly knew that this was where this shoot should come to life. I wanted this to be an unrestrained explosion of colour and pattern, reflecting the unashamed boldness with which we take up space when we are surrounded by the right people, much like flowers in the right conditions. This was the most involved set up for my set designer @ambracstylist , with whom I exchanged Pinterest boards and numerous references - this was not needed, not really, as I feel that our imaginations exist within the same exuberant universe. Special thanks to @roser.design for crystal glassware, @gather.glass for the hand-blown sculptural glassware and @lampldn for dark blue dinner plates. Mamy słabość do szkła.. W kolekcji Nostalgia Wojciech Rosiak, absolwent Central Saint Martins, traktuje kryształ jako medium wielozmysłowe i nośnik pamięci. Projekt jest osobistym hommage dla babci, ale też świadomym domknięciem tradycji lokalnego rzemiosła, które dziś znika wraz z małymi hutami. “Kieliszki są ciężkie, dobrze leżą w dłoni. Szlachetnie brzmią stukane jeden o drugi przy toastach. Potrafią też śpiewać, pocierane palcem po ich krawędzi” - zauważa Basia Czyżewska w najnowszym Vogue Living. Głębokie, ostre szlify pracują ze światłem, ujawniając wertykalne, abstrakcyjne wzory inspirowane XIX-wieczną architekturą oraz artdecowskimi motywami Val Saint Lambert. Rosiak bawi się formą i funkcją: czasze do wina, szampana i wody łączy w pary, pozwalając na ich odwracanie w trakcie kolacji. Każdy model powstał w edycji 50 egzemplarzy, bez możliwości wznowienia. Cena na życzenie. ~ We have a weakness for glass… In the Nostalgia collection, Wojciech Rosiak, a graduate of Central Saint Martins, treats crystal as a multisensory medium and a carrier of memory. The project is a personal homage to his grandmother, but also a conscious closure of a local craft tradition that is disappearing along with small glassworks. “The glasses are heavy, sit comfortably in the hand, resonate with a noble sound when gently tapped against one another during toasts, and can sing when a finger is rubbed along the moistened rim” - notices @basia_czyzewska in the newst @vogue.polska.living. Deep, sharp cuts work with light, revealing vertical, abstract patterns inspired by 19th-century architecture and Art Deco motifs of Val Saint Lambert. Rosiak plays with form and function: bowls for wine, champagne, and water are paired so they can be inverted during a meal, shifting their use in the course of the ritual. JUTKA, Christmas installation at @objekt_gallery 🕯️ The Zakopane style – with its carved wood, the rhythm of Podhale patterns, and the weight of handcrafted labor – was one of the first Polish attempts to create its own design language. It proposed a vision of the “total” home: a coherent, lived-in whole in which architecture, furniture, and detail speak with one voice. At the roots of the Zakopane style lies not only the work of craftsmen, but above all the temperament of Stanisław Witkiewicz who sought in the architecture of Podhale a vision of the future and who could perceive in wood and ornament something more than decoration. For him, Podhale was a living laboratory of form – a place where tensions, deformations, and exaggerated proportions emerge. In his thinking, the wooden cottage became a dramatic structure, and the carved pattern – a record of emotion. It is from this heritage that we depart at JUTKA. The shelf and table by Krześlarz – made of solid, varnished, and carved wood in the 1970s by the carpenter-sculptor Wojciechowski – and the iconic armchair designed by Witkiewicz himself are introduced into the gallery space as a living trace of that ambition. There isn’t enough space to write exactly how full of love our hearts are after what has been the most incredible few days. Green carnation, our third iteration of You CAN sit with us. Green Carnation – You Can Sit With Us by Russell and Jordan of @2lgstudio transforms the underground Salon at Shoreditch Town Hall into an inclusive showcase for Design London. The exhibition celebrates queer design talent across lighting, furniture, ceramics, glass, art, and textiles. This year’s theme, Green Carnation, is inspired by Oscar Wilde, who famously wore the flower as a quiet signal of queerness—now reimagined here as a symbol of gathering, creativity, and safe space. I was delighted to showcase pieces from my brand @roser.design including our reversible crystal glassware from the Nostalgia Collection, handcrafted by skilled European artisans. 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 by @2lgstudio Thrilled to share this space with so many incredible queer artists and makers, and completely obsessed w Russell and Jordan from 2LG Studio whose vision this is. The last day to view is today, 10–4pm at Shoreditch Town Hall for @design.london @l_d_f_official The two works for the show were made during the super challenging last 8 weeks of broken collarbone, surgery and recovery. These works are special because they were made with my left hand, as my painting arm has been in a sling 24/7 since the accident happened. A lot of people I spoke to whilst wearing the sling suggested a left hand practice whilst my right was out of action — thanks for all the positive energy — turns out it was possible! Today marks Day 2 of the enchanting Come Sit With Us – Green Carnation exhibition, beautifully created and curated by @2lgstudio. Part of both @design.london and @l_d_f_official the festival once again proves that London is at the very forefront of interior design — and I feel truly honoured to be included. The show is taking place at Shoreditch Town Hall. You can still catch it today until 6pm, and tomorrow from 10am–4pm. Alongside this exhibition, there are many other inspiring showcases within the Shoreditch Town Hall building and across the festival, making it well worth a visit. I’ve been deeply impressed by the beauty and exceptionally high standards of craftmanship of the designers and artists featured in this show — it’s a real privilege to sit among them.
