What a night. 💜 Yesterday’s Female Majlis: Flourishing Females - From Foundations to Future Growth was everything we hoped it would be. Meaningful conversations, honest stories, new connections and so many wonderful women coming together in one room. It was amazing to have such a beautiful community with us, alongside our incredible speakers Dr. Badreya AlHarmi and our very own power house Christina Ioannidis, as we explored what it means to truly own our health and rewrite our health narrative. From foundations to future growth, the conversation continues. ✨ Thank you to every woman who showed up, shared, listened, questioned and connected. This is what Female Majlis is all about. 💜 #FemaleMajlis #FlourishingFemales #OwningHERHealthHERStory

Last night’s Owning Her Stage, Her Story: Challenging the Code was filled with the kind of conversations that don’t end when the evening does. One of the lovely women who joined us described herself as a reflector and came back with a beautiful reflection on what she took away from the evening. Her words captured what our Distinguished Guest, H.E. Dr Amal Abdulrahim, highlighted: ✨ Be curious. Ask why. ✨ Challenge what no longer serves us. ✨ Pause before we execute. ✨ Protect our ability to think, question and create. ✨ Understand the bigger picture, not just our individual role. ✨ Surround ourselves with people who challenge and support us. ✨ As leaders, make sure every voice has space to be heard. And perhaps one of my favourite reflections: “Thinking is power before you do and execute.” In a world moving at extraordinary speed, particularly with AI transforming how we work, we cannot outsource our curiosity, our judgement or our ability to question. We need to stay awake. We need to stay curious. And we need to keep challenging the code. Thank you to every woman who came, contributed, questioned, listened, laughed and shared her story yesterday. You are what makes Female Majlis what it is. 🌹 And to the wonderful woman who sent me this reflection afterwards, thank you for reminding me that sometimes the most powerful conversations are the ones we continue having with ourselves long after the room has emptied. This is only the beginning. 💜 #FemaleMajlis #ChallengingTheCode #TopOfHerGame

✨ “One of the best decisions I made was joining the Female Majlis.” Roshan Abdulaziz, a Senior Planning Engineer, first joined the Female Majlis a year ago and has been part of our growing community ever since. What makes Female Majlis special is the diversity of women in the room — leaders, entrepreneurs, engineers, creatives, and professionals from across industries, all coming together to learn, connect, and grow. Through Christina’s insights on public speaking, confidence, leadership, and owning your voice, many women have found the courage to share their ideas more boldly, communicate with greater impact, and step into opportunities they may once have avoided. Whether your goal is to become a stronger leader, a more confident speaker, or simply connect with inspiring women who understand your journey, there is a place for you here. 🤍 Join us for our next Female Majlis: ✨ Crazy, Courageous & Catalytic Because the world needs more women who are ready to own their voice, own their story, and own their game. What an evening it was. ✨ These snippets capture more than just an event — they capture courage, connection, laughter, reflection, and the powerful energy that emerges when women come together with open hearts and open minds. A heartfelt thank you to every woman who joined us, shared her voice, listened deeply, and contributed to making Defy Fear, Design Your Destiny such a special gathering. Your stories, presence, and sisterhood are what make the Female Majlis so extraordinary. To those who could not join us this time — we missed you, and we warmly invite you to be part of the next one. Because Female Majlis is never simply an event. It is a space to reconnect, rise together, and remind ourselves that we are never navigating life alone. Until next time… we continue to reboot, rebuild, and reconquer together 💋✨

I get my energy from the power-women who join me at our @topofhergame #FemaleMajlis. Women who are unapologetically ambitious, who want to make change for themselves and for those around them. In the advent of the 'DEI disbanding' era we are living, women who are taking a stance and raising their voices are even more critical. And these are the professionals I had the pleasure of hosting at last night's event! ✨ 'Women shaping the Future' was not just the theme of the event, it was the ethos of the women who took on board all the Aha moments that the peer-mentoring and TED style mini-masterclass which I facilitated, to drive change.  💪 The feedback was, as always, amazing - and it highlights the need for this type of approach: one which infuses women with the confidence that they CAN achieve whatever they set out to you. Yes, the road will be tough, uneven and full of obstacles, but with resilience, grit and determination, the destination CAN be reached.  ✨ And another key ingredient of success is in women raising our voices - claiming our seat at the table of life, as well as, the boardroom. Having the confidence to speak up can be achieved, and this was clearly demonstrated last night. Women are in danger of being sidelined - as 'Diversity-Hires' in corporations, and in data-gap-filled AI. AI is only as good as the data the 'machines' (the algorithms) are fed, after all.   💪 Shout out to my coachee @salma_talks who not only shared her personal manifesto for women leveraging technology to drive change, but also shone in her TED-style speech! This is a budding TED Speaker in the making!  ✨ And a huge Thank YOU to @womeninai_uae and @yasaminalenazi for their partnership, as well as, to @yusrhamza and Gartner Inc. for their leadership for driving the inclusion agenda and hosting us! . . . #womensupportingwomen #womensempowerment #ownherstage #ownherstory #ted #tedx

Yes the research is in....  ✨ Self-silencing, which refers to the tendency of women to suppress their own thoughts, feelings, or needs to maintain relationships or avoid conflict, is a psychological phenomenon often rooted in societal expectations that prioritize women’s caregiving roles, harmony in relationships, and adherence to traditional gender norms. 😳 Evidence has revealed that female self-silencing isn’t just tied to psychological issues like depression and eating disorders but also to physical illness. 👀 I am owning up to having experienced this at various times in my career and facing the health challenges that came with it.  👊 Join me in my mission to change this! 💥 We women need to speak up - which is why I am starting with the Owning HER Stage, HER Story event in Dubai next week!  🎤 Details are: ⌚ Date: 30th January 2025 Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Location: DIFC Academy, DIFC Gate Village 02, Dubai 💫 Registration: #linkinbio 2025 is the year for us to SPEAK UP!
