As my Second year at the University of Manchester draws to a close, I wanted to reflect on what has been an extraordinary (and sometimes exhausting!) year of music!

I’ve had a fantastic time singing with many ensembles, old and new, and collaborating and learning from friends and colleagues! To the ensembles I’ve worked with this year - Tallis Choral Foundation, Somnium, Ad Solem and Cosmo - thank you! I’ve also loved developing as a freelancer, regularly soloing, boosting and depping in ensembles and churches across the North West.

Developing my solo skills have also been a particular highlight for me this year, and I was particularly thrilled to achieve a mark of 72% in my Solo Performance Recital! I’m grateful to my teacher Katherine for her continued support.

I’ve also enjoyed developing as a conductor this year, working with ensembles like Salford Choral Society, Aetheris, The Gaskell Singers, and Cawthorne Choral Society! I’ve particularly enjoyed my time as Conductor of the University of Manchester Chorus. This experience has been invaluable, and I’m so grateful to Tom Newall and the whole choir for their continued faith in me! I’m delighted to starting a new role as Conductor of both the University Chamber Choirs - Ad Solem and Cosmo - beginning in September.

Overall, this year has been so wonderful, and I’m so thankful for all of the experiences I’ve been given. To all of my wonderful friends and colleagues in the industry - thank you for your support, wisdom, and energy! The people I work with make my job 100% more wonderful and easier in challenging times.

Looking forward to a few more engagements this Summer, before some well needed rest before a busy Final year! 🌟⭐️🌙

Humperdinck’s ‘Hansel and Gretel’ with @mums_opera (February 2026). I had the best time performing Gretel alongside the most incredible cast and orchestra. Here is an assortment of photos with a snippet of my Act 3 Scene 1 aria as the audio. Huge thank you to the creative team for all their hard work and to @scottmansonmusic for the audio. Special thanks to @darlingchessie for lending me such a gorgeous dress to wear!

Listen to the beauty of Aurora’s ‘Dreams’…

Aetheris had a wonderful time performing at MUSICA Vocal Concert, in the beautiful setting of St Kentigern’s Church, Fallowfield⭐️

This performance, the choir were joined by Guest Conductor Daisy Mock, who arranged the song herself with Aetheris in mind. Thank you Daisy for bringing this wonderful music to us!

The choir will now undergo an expansion, and we hope to bring concerts to you this coming Summer and Autumn🍂
