Happy #MentalHealthAwareness Day!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope each day we get to talk and share more with and about each other, we have more in common than you think! We have lots of conversations about self-care @mobotnation and love that awareness is growing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have plenty of self-care routines, and they are compliments to my real self-care routine and that is, working hard (on myself) doing the things I love, with people I love and creating a life that means something to me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I believe wholistic self-care is anything that contributes to your overall well-being, that helps us be healthy; physically, emotionally, spiritually, and even socially!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I like to encourage self care that isn’t going to cost a fortune and can be implemented into life daily. We don’t want to view self-care as only a reward or one time “feel good” thing, or as a special treat, a luxury, or even rare indulgence.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Self-care is in fact, a lifestyle. But sometimes it can be difficult, uncomfortable and seemingly boring!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The dichotomy of self care. Here is what I believe it can look like :
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- setting necessary boundaries, professionally and personally, without fear of whether you’ll be liked.
- having hard conversations and navigating conflict
- being vulnerable
- challenging yourself in a way that helps you grow
- having the courage to live in line with your core values
- the discipline of going to the gym, yoga, hiring a trainer, or setting a reminder to hydrate, stretch and roll!
- changing habits to support your health
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s taking an honest look at our life and making hard choices, because we really can’t do everything and have it all, at once! It’s slowing down to notice life and have gratitude. It’s a struggle and a celebration and embracing the dichotomy!!!

Hello Earthlings! Happy Earth Day!
It is crazy to me we have just a day to inspire us to act towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for conservation. In 1970, 20M people took to the streets to protest, and thank god they did! Never underestimate the power of the people and using your voice for good.

This years theme is : ‘Restore Our Earth’. I love the word restore as there are so many correlations between restoring ourselves to good health that will in turn allow us to act positively in restoring our planet. #feelgoodogood
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing earthlings working hard everyday to ensure we make improvements and progress towards restoring our planet. It really is many people doing all the little things often that will make a positive impact!
Love y’all and your work x

I am so genuinely humbled by the overwhelming show of support! It has been so exciting to see so many from around the world join us and become a part of the MOBOT Nation team!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is my belief that MOBOT only exists because of you, and you help shape the future of MOBOT.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As training (at home) becomes the new normal, for health and sanity, we have found people everywhere are prioritizing their physical and mental well-being, and sustainability.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I started MOBOT to do better and create value in a sustainable way. Now to be part of a movement and have a community like ours has truly been the most rewarding part yet! My hope is that we help to spark rich conversations and connections over a genuine desire to be part of a long-term solution to feel good and do good, together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your support helps our team craft amazing products and experiences for our community. You will continue to see positive changes rolled out over the coming months, while we do everything we can to live up to our promise to create positive change; mind, body and planet

You gotta start somewhere, so why not today!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Coming up with an original idea and executing isn’t easy! It’ll take everything you’ve got; because caring, being passionate and being the best takes commitment: For the committed person there is no such thing as failure! There will always be imitators, or what I’ve heard them referred to as “wantrepreneurs” - but they’ll never be ‘YOU’!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fun fact:
#1. Women inventors account for just under 13% of patent applications globally, that's one female inventor for every seven male ones. Look out boys 😉
#2. Only about 2% of female founded companies go through the 1M revenue barrier! 🚀
#3. The first pic is from our first ever photo shoot and test launch in Australia in 2013. 🍀
#4. The second pic is last week in the hands of one of my favs @emrata ❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first picture features legend @bicepslikebriggs and one of her sweet young fans getting an autograph, this takes me right back, and I love it! We have come so far and things have changed and challenged us a lot, but like they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This month we also celebrate launching into @neimanmarcus - and have so many exciting announcements and collaborations coming soon!

Celebrate Everything 🥂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So ... If you have ever fed me, hugged me, gave me words of encouragement, a shoulder to cry on, a place to crash or supported me in any way, I appreciate you and am so grateful! I couldn’t be more proud of our team and the community that #rollswithus

Own Who You Are And Your Story Today! #worldmentalhealthday

I’m usually very reluctant to open Pandora’s box back into my injury and healing, but I believe overcoming adversity leads to empowering ourselves and each other.

It’s certainly the kind of journey where you have to lose yourself to find yourself - losing more than my mind and my business, and to then somehow persevere and fight back; for my health, my sanity, my wellbeing and my team is something I’m eternally grateful for.

On Oct 9th 2016, whilst playing a game of touch football on the beach in Santa Monica, I was tackled and hit at full speed by one of the male players from the opposing team.

That day I suffered a concussion that caused a major TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I was told to prepare for more than two years (more like 4) of rehabilitation and recovery. Without medical insurance, and not in my home country, I only had my network, previous education in alternative therapies and pure grit and determination to rely on.
I used self care as a necessity (not just a luxury) to help me recover from my brain injury.

Then in 2019, well on my way to a full recovery, regaining most of my memory, cognitive skills and other functions we take for granted everyday, I was told that my TBI had led to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I was shocked, but also another opportunity to choose health and well-being. It might be what the scan says, but it isn’t who I am, nor will it have power over me.

I continue to explore every avenue of becoming a better version of myself, returning to the business FT, and dedicated to making a difference, promoting self care, mental health (with love and humor), and offering support anyway I can.

It often feels easier to be grateful once you lose something and get it back! My hope is we see our true beauty and talents way before anything like this happens.

We might not fully know what to do or how to do it, and we’ll likely stumble in trying to get to where we want to be. I find it’s key not to worry as much about what we feel we’ve lost, but more importantly what we’ve learned and to focus on who we become in the process, because that human is unfuckable with! x
