When @wizkhalifa said to get high, I thought he meant climb up above sea level 🤷‍♀️

Mt. Marami, Maragondon Cavite with PETA volunteers ! 🩵 first “major” (long) hike in awhile.

3/9 difficulty “minor hike” but siguro marami ang tawag sa bundok na ito kasi marami-raming lakad at kilometro ang tatahakin 😭

Let me tell you, there are sooooo many beautiful places in the Philippines (I am the Philippines’ biggest tourism advocate lol).

There is a whole different world waiting for you the moment you step outside your glass walls and as someone who’s hiked around the US, UK, and Asia, the mountaineering and camping scene in the Philippines deserves more praise. ⛰️🥹🤍 (yes, even the lil mountains and spots!) this has been my personal reflection during this no signal weekend.

Going to this very secret and local campsite at Taysan was a challenge and an adventure ..

The hike started at a descent and was around ~30 minutes but we didn’t account for the weather for the past weeks hence the high water and river crossing. 🙈

We were drenched so selfie break 😚 the views during the hike was lovely though so it made breaking a sweat and being submerged in water worth it.

Oh ofcourse, we brought along the best hiker and baby ever!

First sign we were near the campsite after that treacherous uphill stairs 😅🌳

And there it was, Tay’ Raul & Nay’ Elya’s Campsite. Super lovely family — made sure we were hydrated with buko, helped us with our stuff, and welcomed us with warmth! 🥹

Setting up the tadpole for…

some light reading ! finished a few chapters of The Man who Mistook his wife for a hat by Oliver Sacks. Saya pala ng walang signal no, walang gmail notif 🙈🙉🙊

The view from the hammock

Our lil hammock set up from @rei and @vutcher.ph empanadas cause duh, while reading the book I was narrating everything to Ross while he slowly dissociated lol

there were also a lot of goats and cows around 🐐🐄🤍

Such a beautiful photo of my darling @rossaurus_ 🥹

Bird watching ofcourse ! Bar-bellied cuckooshrike (coracina striata) 🐦🪽

Walked down for a bit ….

To reach the beautiful untouched lake (water was super clear and cold 10/10)

Little damselflies nearby. Bug 🐛 fact: a large portion of native dragonflies and damselflies are actually endemic to the country! We saw the rare Makiling species a few weeks ago, but there are over 300+ more species !

🥹 idk how to describe this feelinggggg 🥹

Anyway, until our next adventure 🇵🇭 now is a good reminder as always that our a
