New England Regional Championships + River Valley CX round 4 made for another excellent weekend of cyclocross!

The u15 fields are having a moment right now in New England and we’re so happy to be able to contribute to that wave. More than 100 young juniors took part over the weekend on what turned out to be the most challenging CX course of the season so far. BHR did what they do best and rose to the occasion, sweeping the podium both days in the girls u13’s + introducing some of our younger Devo riders to their first weekend of Cyclocross!

A standing ovation for @resultsboy, @solwhale, and their crew for week-after-week turning these empty fields into such magical environments for friends to gather and play. And for going out of their way to make sure so many girls and women feel welcome and appreciated at the races.

‘Cross is for kids! 💙🏁

The Blue Hills team headed west this weekend for round 3 of the @rivervalleycxseries at @kilowatt_cross. These 6-10 year olds lit up the course at @northfieldmountainrecreation, many of them pinning on numbers for the very first time!

Congrats to Lily & Flynn on their wins in the 9-12 categories, along with Colby & Claire who took the top step for u9’s. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Scrumptious! That’s Ethan’s verdict on What We Watch with Reclaiming African Time for Castle Stout. Is it his favourite so far in the series?

Seeing beautiful places is nice and all but sometimes just seeing your friends in front riding together is pretty great.

(Link in bio) 🔥RESULTS - BEST IN CRAFT July 2026🔥

Judge’s comment on EDITING CRAFT:
“For me, the editing in ‘This is African Time’ doesn’t simply shape the footage; it’s where the idea really comes to life. The rhythm shifts between urgency and stillness, reflecting the tension between measured time and time well spent. The pacing is calm, confident and beautifully restrained, inviting the audience to feel time rather than simply watch it.

What I found particularly impressive is the way Ross Garrett’s still photography is integrated with Zee Ntuli’s moving footage. Through motion-blurred stills, stop-frame techniques and carefully judged pacing, the edit creates something that sits beautifully between photography and cinema. None of it feels self-conscious or indulgent. Every image feels deliberately chosen, every cut purposeful, and every editorial decision is in service of the central idea.

Ultimately, that’s what makes it such an outstanding piece of editing. It’s the rhythm of the edit that makes you feel ‘African Time’ rather than simply understand it. For that reason, William Kalmer would be my choice for Craft Best Editing.”
