Malalcahuello, Chile. A small town nestled in the valley of Lonquimay, surrounded by hot springs and volcanic slopes covered in natural snow for nearly six months of the year.

Spring has arrived, but the touring season continues into November.

A place filled with outdoor adventures and stories, travelers passing through on their journeys across Chile, and locals seeking a quiet escape surrounded by wilderness. This is also the ancestral homeland of the Mapuche people.

Always a great stop at @casaesquinamalalcahuello for homemade meals, pizza, coffee, hot chocolate, and especially their fresh pistachio ice cream.

Ride on, everyone! Looking forward to returning to @2volcanes for another camp in the future.

Back on Snow!!!

Hell of a month down here in Chile! First time down here and boy was it fun. So nice to be back on a board racing, great to set a starting point for the season and knowing it can only go up from here!

P5 for the first race day and P16 for the second. Not too shabby but definitely nice to know where I need improvement. (Yellow Bib 🟨)

Now to get home and get back after it!

Well, I am officially retiring. I’ve been fortunate to spend over a decade of my life traveling the world full-time, competing professionally in the sport I love most. Being a professional snowboarder was always my dream job as a kid, and I am so lucky to have made that my actual career for so many years. To have stood on multiple World Cup podiums, to have competed in every far corner of the world, to have been a member of the @ussnowboardteam for so long, to have been a part of multiple World Championship teams, and just narrowly missing two Olympic teams… What I really look back on is all of the incredible people I was able to share those moments with. Teammates, coaches, competitors… all of whom became much more than friends, but family to me. The memories are endless. Over the past months, I had some distance between myself and the sport, as I explored other aspects of my life and career passions… and I realized I am ready to close this chapter. Snowboarding will still remain a massive part of my life and career, just in a different fashion. It’s been one hell of a ride, and I am so thankful for everyone who was a part of it… Every single one of my coaches, teammates, physical therapists, servicemen, doctors, sponsors, fellow competitors, friends and family members that have played a role in this journey… I love you all, and thank you 🙏🏼🤘🏼.

Beyond late to post this but I want to say thank you to each and every single person that has supported me through the long SBX season!

After finishing up these past two weeks in France, training for the upcoming 26-27 Season, it made me notice even more how much having a good support system around you means, having people that are willing to make you comfortable with the uncomfortable, and meeting new people who bring joy to the one thing we all share in common. Snowboarding 🫶

Happy to have wrapped this year up with some great highs: qualifying P1 at St.Moritz Europa Cup and finishing P8, Taking both FIS Holeshot golds, Finishing 12th overall in the Nor-Am cup, and many more! Bummed it's over for now but looking forward to hopping right back into as soon as possible, till then, time to race some bikes.
