Another year, another pic of us in front of our house. Only difference is that we finished the house this year and now officially live in it. 🎉 Expect to see more house content soon. It’s our largest creative project to date! Next step is getting the studio setup- it’s been long overdue. I haven’t had my own dedicated ceramic studio space since March 2020. Sooo, yeah, majorly looking forward to that! 2023 was not great for my family…we have a big piece missing now. 💔 We shall see what 2024 brings.

Backsplash Tile displayed in our vintage Geneva metal kitchen cabinet. I love living with this turquoise color so much, I’m bringing it to the new house kitchen. 😍 Our new house will also have a vintage kitchen - 1950s St. Charles cabinets. We got them off of Craigslist in Michigan from a Minoru Yamasaki designed house. Hauled them back to KC and have been storing them for a few years. Can’t wait for it to all come together! #rothayershouse #genevakitchen #retrokitchen #handmadetile #myfuturebacksplash #vintagekitchen

12.17.19⚪️12.31.20⚪️12.31.21 Our house, happens to be in the middle of our street… I know there isn’t a huge exterior difference from 20 to 21, but let me tell you, the inside is different! We are nowhere near being finished, but progress is being made. 🐌🐌 Interior: hvac (mini split system), plumbing, electricity, insulation, and drywall. In the first couple of weeks of 2022, the plan is to prime the interior and paint the ceilings (if the weather cooperates). 🤞We’re hoping to be finished and move in sometime this year- plus that means I’ll have a ceramics studio again.
