Frieze Week is a marathon, not a sprint. @rothkosgirlfriend knows that more than anyone. So, what do you do at the end of the week when the art doesn’t move you, the press releases were written by ChatGPT, and the only thing giving Frieze Week meaning is the smoking area?

The Making of Abstraction is one of @royalacademyarts’ 5 contemporary art shows to see in London this month, selected by Victoria Comstock-Kershaw @rothkosgirlfriend.

LAS is an artist-run, self-funded charity in Deptford, and we’re proud to see this show recognised among the month’s selections across London.

The exhibition, with Betsy Bradley, Albert Irvin RA, Scott Licznerski and Mali Morris RA, is now open at LAS Gallery, 3 Creekside, and remains on view until Sunday 1 November 2026. Visit Thursday–Saturday, 12–6 pm.
Come and see it!

Please join us at Shipton on Saturday, 10 October, from 3–6pm for the closing event of Stan Buglass’ UK debut solo exhibition, TEMPLE.

To mark the exhibition’s final day, we are delighted to host a conversation between Stan Buglass, Adam Bellagha, Maajid Nawaz and Victoria Comstock-Kershaw, who will come together to consider a deceptively simple question:

Who Talks for England?
