We cannot express enough how much we love the salt from @bajagoldsaltco
I use this salt for all my cooking and our animals but most importantly I love to make this mineral rich adrenal cocktail- it is my summer go-to drink after a long day working out in the heat. Ditch those awful hydration packets (glorified table salt + additives) and give your body the gift of real mineral rich hydration. You won’t ever go back!

Who is still pushing through the plating season?
I’ve basically been crawling through the garden on hands and knees to keep going!
🌾
And then, the weeding, the harvesting, and preserving!
🍅
But rest will come.
And oh how beautiful it will be.
🛀
We’ve cultivated a magical experience for you to kick off the slow season with us in November. It will be here before you know it!

Hey! Come and spend a morning with me, Kellyn. We have been growing our small farm here in SW MO for the last three years. It’s a lot of work but I wouldn’t want to spend my days doing anything else. We have a deep passion for real food and real community and the youth programs are the most important thing we do here on the farm. Follow along with us over @round.table.farm

We had the best field trip today @round.table.farm the kids got to learn about renaissance style sword fighting and archery. They did crafts and played games for hours on their beautiful farm. Thank you so much! Days like today remind me of how fortunate we are to homeschool. We get to enjoy nature, learn and explore and be with so many of our friends.

I feel like I may be preaching to the choir here but getting our roots back in the home may just be the only thing that can redirect the state of our culture. That may sound dramatic, but hear me out. Our homes can be a scared place, indeed I believe they are meant to be. We have this one fleeting time to help our children truly learn to love what ought to be loved. This will happen regardless but we are up against a mass of screaming voices, fighting for their attentions, for their souls, desperate to root them in superficiality and selfishness. We must be the safeguard; we must lay that crucial foundation. But be warned- they WILL love what we love- for better or worse. They are watching our choices, our actions, hearing our words, and judging our integrity. We have to walk the walk and also love what ought to be loved, because the world isn’t just fighting for their souls. Start in the kitchen. With meals cooked and shared together. What and how we chose to eat has deep and lasting ramifications. So, my intention is not to overwhelm but to encourage-
start in the kitchen.

It’s time for morning chores, ladies.

I love to wake up early- I read my Bible, eat a hearty breakfast, and head to the gym.

I’m home by 7:30 and then we start breakfast, read the Bible as a family, and begin chores before starting our homeschool day (usually about 9:30)

Our family is located in SW Missouri. We have almost 40 acres with two jerseys, a small herd of Dexters, laying hens, and a small vegetable and flower garden.
We also just opened our on site farmstand and host a Renaissance inspired homeschool enrichment class and community swordfighting events.

It’s been a super full and busy and incredible year.
Be sure to follow us over @kellyn.goodrich and @round.table.farm
