Unbelievable 1980 finals in Atlanta featuring defending champions and still collegiate players at Glassboro State University (now @rowan.ultimate) from South Jersey against the club team Boston Aerodisc.

The ‘Boro was known for a boisterous, fun-loving, large and loud sideline presence that was equal parts players and friends. Several iconic champs on this team like @kharp00 for example. Frank Bono, Johnny Hod, Timba, future @whamofrisbee cover model Carmen Scoppettuolo, Kevin Walsh, Bill Johnson, Quasi and Shin-Dogs among them.

Leading 12-11 they got stalled-out with two seconds on the clock. Yes we played to time then. But not skipping a beat they remained joyful and get the dub on a fateful…watch until the end please!!

Commentators: Dan Roddick and maybe Ken Westerfield?

Well, I can honestly say my return behind the camera was a bit more difficult than I had hoped for. Windy, wet, cold conditions didn't make life easy today but I still managed to pull together a good chunk of pictures and these are first results of those efforts. A big tremendous shout out to all the teams toughing it out in those conditions and being cool with me kicking it on the sidelines! Photos will go live on the website this week but keep an eye here for more while I get that sorted! Cheers! 🤙❤️
