At 20 I moved to the French Alps for a year, and it was the best decision I ever made.

I just returned to the U.S. and I’m starting to reflect on this journey; how living in a foreign country turned me into the person I’ve always wanted to become by causing me to leave my comfort zone.

I was given the ability to create a lifestyle that was uniquely my own, and sink into the version of myself I could only exist as 5,000 miles away from home.

At first, living in a place where I knew nobody, spoke a language other than my own, and had to build everything from scratch was VERY uncomfortable, but it eventually grew comfortable as I committed to living my life there to the fullest, saying yes to opportunities, and allowing myself the space to grow into something new.

I’m drawn back to the frames I took on my Sony Cinema camera, whether walking around town or on my many expeditions into the alps, they reflect the life I lived for the past year, along with both the large and small steps I took to leave my comfort zone in order to experience it.

Leave your comfort zone and move abroad. You’re stronger than you think you are, and you won’t regret it 🫶

Merci, France. 🇫🇷

This is a long one but it deserves the speech.

Ever since I was a kid watching Indiana Jones I wanted to travel the world.

Ever since I started making Minecraft YouTube videos at 11 I wanted to be a YouTuber

Ever since I picked up a camera at 12 I wanted to travel the world and document stories.

I can officially say at 20 years old I've made all 3 dreams come true. I am a travel filmmaker because I left my comfort zone and chased it.

Special thank you to my roommates back in Utah, my friends back in Texas, my European/Canadian/American friends I met this past 5 months in Europe, you all have believed in me and been a part of this journey with me.

Most of all thank you Jesus for dying on the cross and letting a sinner like me share my story and chase mt dreams, we live under a mighty great God and if you listen to him and follow his path, you'll live an exceptionally beautiful life.

God bless.

Drop a comment where I should go next, and what story I should tell in my discomfort journal
