![Wired Anxiety - #NowTrending [2021]
Lyric Video by: Me 🙂 👈
Wired Anxiety made a song called ‘#NowTrending’ inspired by things that are going viral these days and making a statement ‘stop making stupid people famous’. I had to show this through something that looked like a stylized social media platform where the audience is scrolling through clip after clip of just cringe social media ‘stars’ and the lyrics are laid on top of it as if they’re captions made in one of the social media apps. Pretty happy with how this turned out. I’m especially proud of the intro of this video which I built in after effects, exported it and then video recorded it on my iPhone on a screen and then laid the recording on top of the exported video to give it this epilepsy-inducing shake to match the vibe of the song.
Let me know what you think or if there’s anything else you’d wanna know.

Wired Anxiety decided to do couple of playthrough videos for their songs from ‘Yedzavya’ EP. Production wise, this was a simple setup with one huge soft box and couple of practicals in the back. In terms of color grade, we went with the classic Hollywood-style teal and orange to give it that cinematic vibe. Usually I like testing with colors and lighting but due to budget and time constraints I kept it simple which I know would give me the best results. The intro title animation was done keeping in mind the new branding the band developed with this release.
Let me know what you think or if there’s anything else you’d wanna know.
