A couple of weeks ago, @mattstell put out a new single called, “Where I’ll Be” and I put it to the test this past weekend.

Here’s how it works: we get a very talented two step crowd at @rowdysspring so when I find a song that has the tempo they like, I give it a shot! Trust me, you play something not dance friendly, they’ll let you know with their absence.

You may think it’s “well that’s easy, every song should work.” But that’s just not the case. Because while yes, in theory, you can dance to any song; however, some music literally MOVES you. Those tend to be our favorites and the kind of music I like to distribute to anyone the Lord blesses me have for my audience.

Not only is “Where I’ll Be”danceable, it’s also, a really great song. 👏👏👏

I mean, it’s hard to argue that @brooksanddunn Neon Moon needs to not be played over the course of an evening in a dancehall, sometimes twice if the night is long enough.

I took this list from the last 5 months of Spring & Summer and I think it smacks! If you haven’t been to @rowdysspring on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night, you gotta come check it out!

The next slide is the top 25 line dances 👀

Line dances have taken over the dancehall and I’m happy to hold the line for tradition. Here’s my thinking, the song has to be good and the majority of the room has to know how the steps, in order to qualify.

This is my chance to say thank you to all the dancers who come in to lead, help others learn, make friends and keep the energy at max. It’s so much fun helping to usher in this new era of dance in the dancehall.

We got all the right ingredients for a Wednesday night dance party; starts with heavy two steps in always looking for great two step tracks and @maeestes gets the energy in motion. Here’s a clip from 8:30p on a Wednesday after a two step lessons.

If you have been on a Wednesday come early and check it out, the line dancers start to get the energy way up around 10-10:30 but we keep a balance you’ll love, come on!

I like to test my music at @rowdysspring on the early dance community! A couple of reasons. They’re particular about the rhythm of a song and if it doesn’t make you wanna dance why would you want to listen to it?

Maybe that’s a generalization but the greatest music I’ve ever found moved me; internally, forward, upward, you get the idea!

Shoutout to @chaycebeckhammusic for another one that moves the dance floor for me at @rowdysspring with the two step crowd.
