Last Monday, I had the honour of organising the 10th anniversary of the Podiumprijs. Creativity is my thing. And this was a room where I could really let it run wild. Never in my history of organising events has a client said: “A pole dance act with a classical choir, performing Mozart? Sure, go for it.” Well… until now 😂 A director who embraced the idea. A team whose choices surprised me. And artists who brought it to life in their own extraordinary way. Pole dance carries so much within it: discipline, strength, falling, getting back up, repetition, pain. Art. Together, MAISON the FAUX and the Nederlands Kamerkoor brought those elements onto the stage, creating a beautiful bridge to the official award ceremony. Every event is different. You can plan, write, discuss and imagine, but it’s during the rehearsals that everything truly takes shape. That’s when I know exactly what works, what needs adjusting and how the evening should flow. That is what I do. And that is what I love. Organizing the creative choas. Yes!!! Thank you, Roos Wolff. We pulled it off!!! And thank you to Rowena Elshot, my chosen sister and my event assistant on site. Having you by my side means so much. Congratulations to this year’s winners, Jef Van gestel and Cheroney Pelupessy. What a beautiful evening to celebrate your artistry.

Eh, say more. Is nogal wiedes.

5 NOVEMBER WORKSHOP BY NÉNÉ Meet NÉNÉ: een multidisciplinair kunstenaar gevestigd in Rotterdam. #unfold #aruba #bonaire #curacao #suriname

One year ago, I attended the @nederlandsfilmfestival as part of the art direction team for a short film presented by @ditisaware. That day, I was convinced that I wanted to present my own film in the next edition. Here we are, one year later. Thanks to all the people who believed in me, who believed in the story I wanted to tell, and who poured their hearts into it to make it happen. Sales Assistant is part of the Debut Competition. The premiere is on September 28th, followed by a second screening and Q&A on the 30th. Third screening added on October 1st. And @eye_film will welcome us on October 19th.
