Still riding the high from the MAGIC of this year’s Purpose Pursuit at The @guthrietheater! What a meaningful afternoon of connection, meaning and exploring this year’s theme of the Purpose in Mentorship.

We spent time together honoring those who have gone before us and paved the way, the wisdom that they have shared and gratitude for the belief they had in us before we had it in ourselves. I know I left with the renewed sense of becoming even more intentional about investing in the generation coming behind us and recognizing that those gestures are actually our legacy as much as it is our opportunity to be in service to others.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special gathering. I am always blown away by the amazing group of purpose-minded trailblazers this event brings together each year. I am so grateful to all of you for making the afternoon so spectacular! And how great was @roxanebattle?? And David Booth? And @themonicanassif and Thelma?! I mean we had such FUN and loved the celebration of JOY we had together! (Also - for those inquiring on how the OG Mrs. Meyers can adopt you, you’re not alone. IYKYK.)

And if you weren’t one of the 500+ beautiful souls who joined us, we would LOVE to have you join us next year! If you want to be the first to know when the 2027 date is announced and secure your seats, please make sure you’re signed up for event emails at amandakbrinkman.com ☀️❤️💫

Minnesotans show up when they're needed the most. With a historic primary voter turnout, 1.1 million Minnesotans cast a ballot — the highest turnout in nearly a decade.

People are paying attention and doing the work, just like they did earlier this year. When immigrant communities across Minnesota faced urgent, escalating harm, more than 65,000 supporters from across the country and around the world came together to provide rapid assistance. The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund (#IRRF) deployed $13.59 million to 153 organizations in just over three months — moved by a coalition of 33 philanthropic leaders rooted in the communities most impacted.

Showing up looks like a lot of things: casting a ballot, funding safety for a neighbor, building trusted infrastructure so help can move fast. This is a shorter clip from the brief documentary, filmed by @seavertstudios, captures what that looked like for the IRRF coalition, the Women's Foundation of Minnesota, and the communities at the heart of who we are. Community is more important than ever. 💛

Thank you to all who joined us at the WISE Council Kickoff! @amandakbrinkman reminded us that our purpose isn’t something we discover — it’s something we create, moment to moment, together. Ena Castilla of @centrominnesota showed us exactly what that looks like — showing up for community even when your own family is being impacted. By giving boldly, we put our trust in our communities because they know what needs to be done. Thank you to @roxanebattle and @gloria.perez.mn for bringing us together to create this movement. And much gratitude to our generous host committee: Katherine Hayes, Samantha Heaton, Darla Kashian, Cassidy McCrea Burns, Samantha Metcalf, Lauri Roberts, Jaime Sahlstrom, CFP®, and Emily Vennerstrom.

WISE Council applications open July 15. Subscribe to our news and updates to be the first to know when it’s live. #LinkInBio #WISECouncil

We all have moments when life feels overwhelming, whether it’s a job interview, speaking in front of a crowd or a big presentation. Former TV anchor, emotional intelligence expert and author of Pockets of Joy, Roxane Battle joined us to share what you can do in those moments of anxiety. She reminds us that it really is okay not to be okay.

We are here at the Capitol today with members of our Governor-appointed Young Women’s Statewide Cabinet and our Greater Mankato Cabinet. They are here to advocate with their elected representatives for issues in their lives and in their communities like education, housing, healthcare, and public safety. The same day we are launching the latest Status of Women & Girls in Minnesota, the most comprehensive research of its kind in the state, and it’s a clear picture of how women are faring in economics, safety, health, and leadership. The research shows – greater equity can and must be an active pursuit of employers, organizations, and policy makers. Which brings us here to the Capitol. Today, our Young Women’s Cabinet was scheduled to host our annual Day at the Capitol in the Rotunda. Like many families across our state, they don’t all feel safe in the Capitol. The @ltgovflanagan reminds us that the Capitol is the people’s house, and so today, we joined together to advocate for gender and racial justice. Thank you to Dr. Christina Ewig of @cwgpp, Commissioner Matt Varilek of @mn_deed, and @senalicemann for sharing your voices and elevating our research. #WhereSheLeads #SOWG

Black History Month is every month especially if you’re rooted in community. Life has been a lot lately — and still, our people showed up. At tables advocating for women and girls, at events presenting research, in the streets in solidarity, with the people and community. This is what it looks like when Black history isn’t just honored, it’s lived. That’s community. That’s WFM. 🖤✊🏾

Yesterday, @roxanebattle our VP of Communications & Strategic Initiatives, and Dr. Christina Ewig, Faculty Director of the @humphrey_school Center on Women, Gender, and Public Policy, shared a preview of research from our upcoming Status of Women & Girls in Minnesota report with the Minnesota Senate Jobs Committee.

Sharing our comprehensive research is one way we turn research into action. It's how we make sure the experiences of women across Minnesota, in the metro and in Greater MN, are part of the decisions that shape our state's economy.

Economic security intersects with every other issue in a woman's life – health, safety, and access to leadership opportunities. But research without action is just numbers. We're here to change that.

The full Status of Women & Girls report drops March 4. Subscribe to our news and events and be the first to get it in your inbox https://www.wfmn.org/sign-up/?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=womensfndnmn&utm_content=SOWG.
