POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We got on a video call 5 years ago just to get to know each other, and somewhere in that conversation about our careers we said let’s just make 6 episodes. That’s how Asian Soup Podcast started 🥰

No money, no plan, no idea if it would even go anywhere.

Now we’re way past 6, we have real listeners, and somehow one of our closest friendships grew out of just showing up together, week after week.

There’s no big payoff to any of it and it would be so easy to stop, but we keep choosing it because it’s fun and because we believe in something together and because we’re curious what happens if we just keep going.

It’s so hard to make friendships based on creativity and doing things for fun and just play as adults.

This is everything to both of us, and we’re so glad we get to do it together. 🤍

Hello 🫶

Hope you’ve been well 🥹

Thought we’d share some little behind-the-scenes moments of us eating dubai chocolate cookies (두쫀쿠) before recording an episode recently.

We realised we haven’t properly said hi in a while.

So… hi 🥹

And also, thank you. For watching or listening on YouTube, on Spotify, in the car, on your commute, on your mindful walks, or while you’re working and just need voices in the background. It honestly means more than you know that we get to be your companion in those small, ordinary moments.

We’ve really felt the love lately… your messages, the quiet support, and more.

We’re so, so grateful ❤

How have you been lately? Have you eaten the viral dubai chocolate cookie? 🫶🍲

In our latest episode, we share some thoughts on Aussie slang, Aussie accents and our own accents. Aussies will all know the slang, but if you're listening from overseas - maybe you'll learn a couple of new ones? Hope you enjoy this chill episode, sit back, relax, and get nourished with us :)

New episode! 💜

Joined by Inah, Jules' unofficial sister-in-law, we discuss and dive into our first impressions of each other.

Inah shares her deep bond with Japan, which started with a "switch" moment she had one day when she discovered a Jpop star – Yamapi. We chat about the beauty of second languages, and ways in which we can preserve the mother language.
