Comparatively speaking, it’s been a light year of eating due to my work schedule.

However, the stuff I have eaten has been really good.

These are some great bites in Philly so far in 2026.

Tuna Melt @roxanne_philly competes with any of the best in nyc.

Burger night @elmaphilly as well as going to dinner and ordering “chefs menu” or whatever it is where they just send you everything. Elite Philly dinner.

Breakfast sandwiches @griddlerice are amongst the best in the city.

@burritofelizphilly debuted the carne asada and breakfast burrito this year. Incredible.

@nihonbashi_philly visited Philly and made some of the tastiest cheesesteaks in the Eagles facility.

Burger @forkrestaurant as well as the entire brunch menu was awesome. Since then, @henzy____ has left but I’m sure it’s still great.

Our darlings @angelos_pizzeria_south_philly had cutlets back for a good amount of time. Enough said.

@thebakery.phl burrito is absolutely wonderful.

@charpizzaphl is still doing well. Desserts may be better than the pizza at this point.

@stina_philadelphia isn’t only a top BYO in Philly, but a top restaurant in general.

The most elite cheesesteak in the city is one you’ve still yet to have or even heard of. @juliansisofo is a master.

@helloseconddaughter BLT was as good as the rest of their stuff.

New breakfast sandwich @littlewaterphl is very good.

Entire menu @bansheephl was very very very fun. We loved it.

@bombbombbar roast pork is biblical.

Entire meal @illata_philly is bonkers. Dessert was even more mind blowing.

Had to say goodbye to @pasta.sorrentino with these dishes but, man.

@tesinyphilly is elite. That octopus was very memorable as was the entire menu.

Thank you to @kristinaburke for thinking of us to host this incredible dinner as part of Plates for Purpose, rooted in her own history of Philadelphia’s restaurant community and her personal experience with cancer, Plates With Purpose brings chefs, restaurants and diners together to raise funds and awareness for Twist Out Cancer.

On Tuesday 9/22 we welcome chefs:

Two seatings | 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm, dining at our communal table as each chef presents their course.

Proceeds of the dinner directly benefit Twist Out Cancer a nonprofit organization providing psychosocial support to individuals and communities touched by cancer through creative arts programming. Through art, storytelling, and shared experiences, Twist Out Cancer creates spaces for previvors, survivors, caregivers, loved ones, and healthcare professionals to connect, process, and heal beyond the clinical setting.

After a 10 week shutdown, @michelinguide recommended @roxanne_philly has officially reopened… and after two canceled reservations, our third attempt finally happened 💕 Safe to say, it was worth the wait ✨

Delicious, innovative, creative, and whimsical are the words that kept coming to mind throughout the meal. @jenicainphilly and I chose the à la carte menu so we could order whatever caught our eye, and my faves were the house baguette 🥖, shrimp cutlet 🦐, lamb curry pasta 🥒, and chocolate cake 🍰 Pro tip: it’s BYOB 🍷 Tag someone you want to go here with 📌

The building, unassuming. The neon sign shined through the curtains to confirm we were at the right place. Chef Alex Holt is a pure genius. Some of the best food I have ever had. The terrain was phenomenal along with the lovely fresh baguette. The fun play on with the nutella and mousse foie gras and sharp rhubarb working along decedent lamb loin was a time. TWO desserts? A way to my heart. I can go on and on and I CANNOT wait to be back. Oh! And the playlist? Much appreciated! A whole vibe.
