My final music post of recommendations from March’s new releases, recent discoveries & classics revisited.
First up a recent discovery from 2023 @roxidrive “Obsession” a brilliantly authentic 1980s electronic sound.
@parcsmusic “Red Lines” a lovely electro pop track.
@supersister_official “Lock Your Boyfriends Up” a triumphant return to the spotlight for this UK pop trio.
@bjork & Savid Arnold “ Play Dead” the second Bjork track revisited over the last few weeks. Atmospheric & powerful.
@penfriendrocks “Exotic Monsters” a recent discovery from 2021. I really like the lyrics here, great writing.
@jadethirlwall “FUFN (Fuck You For Now)” I genuinely love this track, @nina_facade played it to me first, & I can’t get over how good it actually is.
@garbuckxx “let me tell you (something baby)” great dance track.
@tfp_devotion & @lilithczar “Hearse for two” another brilliant track from last year’s album “ Greetings From Suffocate City” if you haven’t checked out this truly great band, do it now!
@softplayplaysoft & @katenash “Slushy” this is so good, full of punk energy & attitude, along with a tongue & cheek sense of humour. My single of the month!

Check out all of these recommendations & those I’ve recommended before & keep looking out for new exciting songs & bands, discover music you may have previously missed as well as celebrating music that has helped shape your heart & mind. #keepthemusicstrong

Neon lights, fast cars, and a dystopian future—synthwave was built on the male fantasy of a cyberpunk dreamscape. A world of lone heroes, pixelated sunsets, and rain-soaked streets 🕶️

But the genre is evolving. Women are reshaping synthwave, infusing it with emotion, depth, and fresh perspectives beyond the retro-masculine aesthetic 💜

From cinematic ballads to electrifying anthems, these artists are redefining what synthwave can be. Are you a female composer or performer in the scene?

We want to hear from you! Let’s push the genre forward together 💡👇

✨️ New Vinyl Post ✨️ @moby This time next week, I'll be watching him at the O2. He's my favourite music artist. I first heard moby in 1999 when I was a teen. In may this year this album turned 25 yrs old. Isn't that crazy! His album Play, got me through a tough break-up and never really left any playlists i listened to over the years. I continued to collect all his albums on CD and even read both his books. It's a huge dream come true for me. Along for the ride with me is my youngest daughter. Her first gig, she's going to have a blast. We can't wait.🎶🤘🏻
