Hard to put the last 6 weeks into words.
.
Alongside the @haostraining crew, we ran 2 fitness camps, got everyone through a 127-mile ultra endurance event without losing anyone and made solid progress in solving world peace ✌🏼
.
What I’ll take away most is the people. I’ve met some incredible humans and built friendships that’ll last a lifetime.
.
Grateful for every conversation, every early start and every shared mile. Thank you to everyone who made it what it was 🙏🏼

DAY 4 RECAP PART 2 🚩 BEACH FLAGS

One of the most competitive challenges of Redline came down to speed, reaction time, and who wanted it more.

With every round, the field got smaller and the stakes got higher until it came down to Natty vs. Jaxon in the final showdown. Both were fighting for that last flag, but only one could walk away with the win.

Jaxon came out on top and claimed the Beach Flags victory. 🏆🔥

Huge thank you to @jockofuel for fueling the post-game celly! 💪

A long winded version of why I went to @haostraining camp and had the best time ever ⬇️

I was the @huntthesheriff of high school. Four varsity sports, multiple school records in track and soccer, CIF & national championship titles, and a college soccer career. I was used to being good at everything I tried.

Then college soccer ended, and so did my athletic identity.

I spent my 20s having fun but always felt a little lost without athletics. In my 30s, I started trying something new every year: half marathons, yoga, summiting Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, hiking active volcanoes, an Ironman 70.3, and eventually trying a HYROX.

I can’t tell you how many times I opened the email to register for camp and chickened out.

I was afraid of being the worst one there. Afraid to suck at something.

And that’s EXACTLY why I needed this camp.

How many experiences am I missing because I’m attached to being good at something right away?

So this time, I went to SUCK. (A sinus infection + antibiotics made sure I committed to the bit 🤪).

After three heavy weeks of travel and barely working out, and a possible broken toe, I stayed toward the back of the pack on the longer runs, finished every one with a smile, and had an absolute blast crushing trails and taking it all in.

This camp reminded me that I don’t have to be the best to love something. The magic is in showing up, trying, and enjoying the process.

And the people? THE PLAY?! Absolute heaven. Adult summer camp with like-minded people was everything I needed.

Hunter had us write down a goal for the next six months that scares us and share it with the people closest to us. Swipe to see mine.

Your reminder to sign up for the thing that scares you. Be a beginner. Be bad at something. Do it anyway.

Up next: attempting a 100-mile bike ride on the coast Saturday, HYROX Anaheim, and DEKA World Championships to close out the year.

Ready to embrace the suck, get out of my comfort zone, and enjoy the journey regardless of the outcome.

A huge thank you to all these humans for being on my team this weekend, regardless of how many times we were lied to about how far the run was 😂 ❤️✨
