The Full moon is a beautiful opportunity to release what no longer serves you, and make room for what you actually want to call into your life. It’s your belief that can make it so ✨

In honour of tonight’s full moon, I invite you to create your own ritual. Sit somewhere the moonlight can reach you, and name honestly the chapter that has finished in your life, and thank it. Bring home what you’ve learned and leave behind what hurt you.

You are experiencing a massive shift. A lot of us are exhausted from our old ways and patterns and beliefs, and you’re wanting to pay attention to your own needs. Your own inner voice and desires. If we take a moment to be still, even amongst the chaos, we get in touch with our true essence. The deepest truths come from your intuition. The world you want may not exist yet, so build it and create it. Right now, so much change might feel overwhelming. You might feel lost. Trust in your own power.

Uncomplicate your life.
You do not need more before you can grow.
Release the noise and align with your greatest potential.

Here is a simple three-step ritual:

1. Grab a piece of paper and write down three things you’re ready to let go of. An old belief, a resentment, a fear, or a version of yourself you’ve outgrown.
2. For each one, write down what you’re choosing instead. Instead of fear, I choose trust. Instead of self-doubt, I choose confidence. Instead of holding on, I choose freedom.
3. Close your eyes and imagine living as this new version of yourself. Feel the freedom. Feel the peace. Ask yourself: What’s one thing I can do today to be her?

You don’t have to wait for your life to change to become someone new. You get to become her right now.

Review where you’re going, who you’ve allowed into your space, and how you’re relating to money, career, your body and relationships. What are you ready to choose differently? Trust your intuition that is pulling you into the next chapter. Give thanks for all that has been and close this chapter with care, and open the next with fresh strength. Make the wildly audacious ask.

May you discover what it truly means
to love and accept yourself in this lifetime.

Lines of Enquiry: Graphic Arts and the Afterlives of Material Past

📅 6 November 2026
📍 Burlington House, London, and online
🎟️ £15/30 in-person (lunch included), free online
Registration through link in bio.

This year’s Collections and Research Day at the Society of Antiquaries of London explores how prints and drawings preserve and mediate the material past, with talks and tours by early career researchers and collections professionals.

The Society’s manuscript collection includes the Lindsey Psalter, a 13th-century illuminated book of psalms (MS 59, f96v).

Bringing Astronomy to Dolpo — Day 6
Our journey to promote astronomy in the remote Dolpo region continues!
Yesterday, KarmaFlights Foundation Nepal and Pokhara Astronomical Society (PAS) successfully handed over telescopes to our 5th and 6th schools on the beautiful occasion of anniversary and Parents day of Shree Saraswati secondary school.
Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Thulibheri Municipality, Dunai, Dolpa
Shree Aadarsha Secondary School, Juphal, Dolpa
The program was held at Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Dunai, where students and teachers participated in an engaging Astro Camp. They explored astronomy through interactive activities and received practical guidance on how to handle and operate the telescopes.
With these telescopes and hands-on learning opportunities, students can continue exploring the wonders of the universe right from their own schools.
Every telescope opens a new window to discovery, curiosity, and scientific learning. We are proud to bring astronomy closer to children in Nepal’s remote mountain communities.
Together, we are helping students look beyond their horizons and dream beyond the sky.

“Working alongside the Royal Astronomical Society, we mapped the night sky as it would have appeared above Brookwood at the moment the guns fell silent and the Armistice was signed, in the early hours of 11 November 1918. We then translated the positions of the brightest visible stars from that precise moment into the layout of the stelae on the ground, with each named for the star it represents, reinforcing the cemetery’s connection to time, memory and place.”
Studio Wignall & Moore was commissioned by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to create a new 1914-1918 memorial at Brookwood Military Cemetery in Surrey, commemorating more than 400 First World War service personnel from the UK and Ireland whose graves were never formally identified. The landscape was developed in close collaboration with tomstuartsmithstudio. Read the full project story via the website link in our bio.

This evening, I celebrated the pioneering discoveries that were made here in the city of Bath. A collaboration that shaped the invention and development of photography. The works of John Herschel and Henry Talbot.

On display at the @herschelmuseum FROM 5 September 2026 to 3 January 2027 - an exhibition that bears witness to the powerful connection between Astronomy and Photography. Revealing how observation, light and experimentation have linked science and art for more than two centuries.

Also on display are the responsive installations by contemporary Irish artist Grace Weir, curated by Bridget de León. Created in response to the Herschel family’s home.

Also great to see my book, 52 Assignments Night Photography @gmcpublications on the shelf!!

🔭 UK astronomy is facing a funding crisis, and it's bigger than one telescope.

You may have seen the headlines about Jodrell Bank. But the cuts go much further: UK withdrawal from the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope in Hawaiʻi, 20% cuts to the Square Kilometre Array Regional Centre and the Vera Rubin Observatory programme, and a 40% cut to the BISON solar network. The latest analysis puts the real impact on STFC-funded astronomy projects at 35% — against a 10% headline figure.

This isn't just about research. It's about jobs, apprenticeships, engineering and data skills, regional economic activity, and the UK's ability to attract international scientific investment. Facilities like Jodrell Bank support careers far beyond academia — in engineering, software, science communication, and outreach.

📅 MPs are debating this on Tuesday 1 September, 1–1.30pm, in Westminster Hall.

If you care about UK science, skills and regional opportunity — not just astronomy for its own sake — now's the time to ask your MP to attend.

As part of our celebration of Women in STEAM this month, we're highlighting a few scientists who caught our eye, not only for the research they do, but for the many ways they bring science into the world.

Meet Pallavi Kajreka (@fridali_), a Molecular Astrophysicist and Astrobiology Educator passionate about making science accessible and sharing the reality behind her PhD journey.

Alongside her research in astronomy, Pallavi has taught astronomy to students from underprivileged backgrounds, worked as a barista and bartender who knows how to pour a good Guinness, and even explored her creative side as a screenwriter.

Because being a scientist doesn't have to be your only identity!!

Pallavi is also part of Pint of View, a community bringing science conversations into bars and other unexpected spaces. If you're in Maharashtra, check out the lectures-in-bars hosted by @pintofview.mumbai and @pintofviewpune, and explore the other chapters of @pintofview.club.

🔭 Science can happen in the lab.
🍺 It can happen over a pint.
🎬 And sometimes, it starts with a story.

We're here for all of it.
