What’s been your favorite LGBTQA+ read this year?✨

I hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe Pride month! I can’t believe it’s gone by so fast and we only have 7 days left in June🥲

The House and Wind Bookclub on @fable is reading 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 this month. It’s a wonderfully queer and sapphic high fantasy read and I hope to start it this weekend!

Books in stack:

In the Lives of Puppets
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
She Who Became the Sun
The House of Always
The Song of Achilles

Tagging some friends to jump in on the 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒃𝒐𝒘 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌 if they feel inspired🫶🏼

Book boyfriends who completely stole my heart ✨

💭 Who is YOUR favorite book boyfriend?

The Love Hypothesis got me into contemporary romance, so Adam Carlsen is for sure one my top ones! I also love Aaron Blackford and Atlas🔬🏈🍪

Young adult books made me fall in love with reading all those years ago, and Dorian, especially, was one of my first book boyfriends. I also loved Maxon and Riden ⚔️👑⚓️

As for fantasy romance, a few of my more recent book boyfriends include Azriel, Xaden, and The Darkling 🌌🖤🌙 I may or may not have a type….

And as a disclaimer, I’m married to my real life bookish boyfriend who fully supports my obsession with reading and fictional men 📖

Follow @abbymeibooks for more bookish reels and recommendations 💕

Tagging a few friends to join the fun, and if you see this, consider yourself tagged 🥹🤍

QOTD: How was your weekend? Do anything fun?

Happy Monday everyone! I’m still recovering from @yallwest so I thought I’d post a little wrap up today! A lot of these were already posted in my stories but I thought they deserved their own post to commemorate the day!

YALLWEST was incredible! I got to meet so many great authors (@tahereh @alexaster @authoradalyngrace @timesnewrachel @victoriaaveyard @alexbracken @thechloegong @authorjenlynnbarnes @eoincolfer ) and even managed to snag a couple ARCs!

I also got to hang out with @journeybetweenpages and @royalbookishphantom which was so much fun ♥️

All in all a great day! Can’t wait to do it again next year!

It’s been a while since I showed my face in a post… so here it is. Hi! 🥰
.

I tried a new makeup style and wanted to share it with y’all 😄 And thought it would be fun to share some things about me, so here it goes:

1. I’m Rex. Hello!
2. My favorite animal is a fox. 🦊
3. I love warm weather (don’t come at me lol)
4. I’m a Scorpio 🤓
5. Blue is my favorite color now. (Was red but blue is wining 🌊)
6. I’m a twin ✨
7. I love to learn! From language to neuroscience, I’m in.
8. I’m a “feel the grass under you feet” & “dance in the rain” type of girl ❤️
9. My favorite genres are romance & fantasy!

Do we have something in common? 🤩

Would love to know more about y’all!! Tag me if you post something like this! 😍

blue books appreciation post + #thisorthatbooktag tag
thank you @yenna.is.reading for the tag!

qotd: do you prefer series or standalones?

📖paperback or hardcover
— it depends on the book for me! i usually prefer hardcover but paperbacks are easier to read if the book is thick.

📖series or standalone
— both again. i used to read a ton of series when i was younger but recently i’ve been reading more standalones. it’s less investment 😂

📖 indoors or outdoors
— reading outdoors in beautiful weather is so lovely but i do most of my reading indoors. the glare of the sun in the paper gives me a headache.

📖books that made you cry or laugh
— the book thief will always be my answer to this one.

📖hero or villian
— hero though villains with developed backstories are always interesting to read about.

i tagged a few people but no pressure. 🫶🏼
