✨ A Night of Purpose. A Night of Impact. A Night to Remember. ✨

What an incredible honor it was to attend the 5th Annual Steady Ground Awards Show.

Thank you, Steady Ground Foundation, for an unforgettable evening and for the opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful. Thank you for seeing me, believing in me, and allowing me to witness the powerful work you do every day.

Mental health matters. ❤️ It affects our families, our communities, and our future. Steady Ground continues to lead with compassion by providing hope, resources, and support to those who need it most. Your commitment to healing, leadership, and community empowerment is changing lives, and that deserves to be celebrated.

Congratulations to every award recipient! Your dedication, resilience, and service inspire us all.
A heartfelt thank you to the presenters, the incredible Steady Ground staff, volunteers, sponsors, the venue, designers, makeup artists, photographers, videographers, production crew, media team, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event such a success. Your excellence did not go unnoticed.

To every friend, family member, and supporter who came out to celebrate these amazing leaders—thank you for showing what community truly looks like.
As a proud daughter of the United States Virgin Islands, it was an honor to be in the room celebrating leadership, service, and purpose.

Here's to continuing the work of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, uplifting our communities, and honoring those who dedicate their lives to making a difference.

Thank you again, Steady Ground Foundation. Your impact extends far beyond one night—it changes lives every single day. 💛

🕊️ COPING WITH GRIEF WHILE TRYING TO BE "NORMAL" 🕊️

What is normal after losing both parents?
What is normal when cancer has touched your family more than once?
What is normal when you're grieving the loss of your mother and father while fighting your own battles with cancer, lupus, and life itself?

The truth is...
There is no normal.
There is only learning how to live one day at a time.
Some days, you smile. Some days, you cry. Some days, you do both in the same hour.
You show up for your children. You go to appointments. You work. You take care of everyone else.

And somehow, you're expected to keep moving forward while carrying a heart full of memories and loss.
Grief isn't weakness. Grief isn't something you "get over."

Grief is love that continues after someone is gone.
To anyone navigating the loss of a parent, a loved one, or carrying the weight of their own health challenges while trying to be strong for everyone around them:

Give yourself grace. 💕 Allow yourself to rest. 💕 Allow yourself to heal. 💕 Allow yourself to remember. 💕

You do not have to be okay every day.
You do not have to carry it all alone.

And even on the hardest days, remember this:
✨ The people we love never truly leave us. They live on in our memories, our values, our children, and the lives they helped shape.

Today, I honor my parents, my journey, and everyone walking through grief while still choosing to live, love, and keep going.

Today, I celebrate me.

I am thankful and blessed to see sixty trips around the sun. Another year older, wiser, and unapologetically me.

Cheers to my amazing children, my family, my loyal friends, and everyone who has shared this journey with me. I am grateful for the lessons, the love, and the experiences that have shaped who I am today.

Today, I also hold space in my heart for you, Mom, as I honor the anniversary of you gaining your wings. You are forever in my heart and in my thoughts. I miss you dearly.

Celebrating this chapter with gratitude, grace, and a full heart.

A special Thank You to my amazing team for making my celebration amazing and special! I am forever thankful for your love and support!
