“As a human being living in this society, especially in Iran during an ongoing war and all the difficulties my people are facing, I believe artists have a responsibility to convey what is happening and to document this moment in history. Our feelings and experiences are also part of history.” 📖 meet Mahtab Rezaee and Roya Bakhtiari, the writer/artist duo from Iran behind the amazing comic “Golestan Still Breathes.” our amazing interview with them can be found on our website! illustrations by Roya Bakhtiari

When I was drawing this, I had so much to say. Now I find myself speechless. I cannot find the energy or the courage to write the way I want to these days.
I never considered myself a writer or a poet, but | knew l had to say something. I had to do something for them, for those we have lost.
This piece carries loss, and the unwillingness to let go of this land’s dearest children. It is a farewell to those who were taken from us unfairly and too soon.

@elahe.sh_m @V4rona
@sailormah @Nima.nm.artwork @mimretra @this.is.vilo @kiwirunningaway @parso_saurus @farzaninks @Naqme_illu @roossketchbook @Moarrtt @hozouri_ @Aznd.amir

Here's our 3rd collaboration where each artist contributes a piece of the puzzle, allowing their unique perspective to come to life, frame by frame, creating this wonderful walking animation.
14 artists, 4 frames each and a journey in motion.
Hope you appreciate the effort that went into creating this.
Now please enjoy our humble walk.

The Last Supper (شام اخر)

@sailormah @Nima.nm.artwork @mybodysmadeoutofcrushedstars @mimretra @this.is.vilo @kiwirunningaway @namiotron @parso_saurus @farzaninks @Naqme_illu @roossketchbook

*

•Ever wondered what it would be like to paint The Last Supper with a bunch of talented friends? 🎨
Well, we did!! 🙂‍↕️🍾

•Everyone brought their own character to the table, and the result is surprisingly delightful and a bit chaotic (which we love!) 🥡

•And here are the artists who took the challenge and turned it into something truly mesmerizing :
@elahe.sh_m @v4rona @sailormah @parso_saurus @mybodysmadeoutofcrushedstars @mimretra @Nima.nm.artwork @this.is.vilo @kiwirunningaway @namiotron @farzaninks @roossketchbook @aylinsavf
