Excited to post some performance clips from this year’s Montecito International Music Festival!! 🎻

Please excuse the audio quality, as I had to compress the clips in order to allow for posting. 🎧

🎥 # 1-7: M. Ravel, Tzigane

I performed this piece an absurd amount of times while in CA, and this assortment of clips covers a grand total of 5 performances, with different sections from each. If you scroll chronologically, you should be able to listen to the piece in full. Enjoy!! 🎶

🎥 # 8-9: F. Mendelssohn, Octet in Eb Major, I. Allegro Moderato ma con fuoco

This was the grand finale to the festival’s chamber activities, and couldn’t have been a better way to close out an inspiring month and a half. ❤️

🎥 # 10-11: D. Shostakovich. String Quartet No. 3, III. Allegro non troppo

Had SO much fun learning this electric piece with this absolutely fantastic group. 💥

🎥 # 12-13: E. Korngold Violin Concerto in D, I. Moderato Nobile

I absolutely love performing this piece in all circumstances, including a string breaking. Enjoy! 😊

🎥 # 14: A. Dvôrak Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, I. Allegro, ma non tanto

My first chamber group at the festival, and quite the close one as well. We all became very close very quickly, and had a great time learning this piece together! 🎻

🎥 # 15: F. Mendelssohn, String Quartet No. 3 in D Major, I. Molto Allegro Vivace

Quite the ambitious group, as we were restricted to 36 hours to learn and perform the piece due to scheduling conflicts. Enjoy! 🔥

🎥 # 16: L. V. Beethoven, Piano Trio No. 5 “Ghost”, III. Finale

Had a great time learning this fun movement with these fine musicians on short notice! 🎵

✨ Recapping the 2025 Montecito International Music Festival ✨

4 sessions, 5 masterclasses, 6 chamber groups, 14 performances, 22 recordings, and hundreds of rehearsals later, the Montecito International Music Festival has finally come to a close. 🎶🎻

Montecito proved to be so much more than a music festival. It proved to be a paradise of human connection, spiritual renewal, musical catharsis, and the basis for a plethora of future opportunities in all regards. I am exceedingly proud to say that this summer has given me absolute life-changing experiences that will play an immense role in shaping the human being and musician I strive to be every single day. 🙏☝️

To all my colleagues and friends, I love each and every single one of you more than words can say. I look forward to the next time we can bond over a simple phrase in Beethoven, banging our heads relentlessly to Shostakovich, broken strings in Korngold, getting lost in the magic of Dvôrak, raving over the delectable chocolate chunk cookies, and much more. 🫶😌

I’d like to express my extreme gratitude to all the world-renowned faculty and esteemed artists I had the privilege of playing for, working with, and learning from: Shmuel Ashkenasi, Ayke Agus, Gary Levinson, Aaron Boyd, Cho-Liang Lin, Danwen Jiang, Limor Toren-Immerman, Ken Aiso, Junshi Yang, Larry Livingston, Valeria Morgovskaya, and most importantly, my dear professor Sergiu Schwartz. Your heartfelt guidance has led me to places I never thought were possible, and I could not be more appreciative. 🎻🙏

I’d like to offer another massive thank you to Dr. Chan Ho Yun, Dr. Hyoungwuk Kim, Dr. Vanessa Fadial, Samuel Chung, and Wisdom Hsu for your incredible kindness and accommodation to ensure each and every student, fellow, and faculty takes something precious with them for many years to come. 🙌

It’s simply impossible to capture the extent of all the magical moments that impacted me to such a degree this summer. I hope we all recount our blessings and the core memories we made, and take them with us for the rest of our promising lives. ❤️🎻
