Grateful for the opportunity to share Beyond Rehab at the Competition Readiness Seminar at Ambassadors of the Arts Jiu-Jitsu here in El Paso.

A special thank you to Erica and Josh for trusting me and inviting me to work with their athletes.

We focused on mobility, flexibility, core control, movement preparation, and recovery strategies to help athletes move better and prepare for competition.

Release tension. Restore mobility. Strengthen the range. Move with control.

Competition season is here! AOA is hosting a seminar that will get you ready mentally and physically. Train with Intention and Purpose: Preparedness is of the utmost importance if you want to get the most out of your matches.

Guest Speakers:

Armida Aguirre
Founder of AVA Mental Performance Consultant

Her portion of the seminar will be an interactive workshop giving you all the tools necessary to prep your mental state for comp readiness. Knowing what to expect is one thing, but being able to handle the adrenaline dump and hectic pace is essential to having the outcome you desire.

You will be shown the building blocks required to hone in your focus and discipline needed to have a Champion mindset and routine.

Rich Salazar
Founder of Beyond Rehab
PTA, CPT and Joint Rehab Specialist

In this active participant session, Rich will lead the class in mobility exercises designed to prep the body for comp while also giving the proper recovery tools imperative to training with intention.

Injury prevention is important so that you can push yourself to new heights safely and get the most out of your training regimen.

Looking forward to seeing you all! Please DM with any further questions.

Put some stripes on belts last night.

A stripe is a small marker along a much longer path. It represents rounds trained, problems solved, mistakes corrected, hard days you showed up for anyway, and the people you helped get better beside you.

Years from now, nobody is going to remember the days we took off.

We’ll be measured by the challenges we were willing to take on, what we became through them, and how many people we helped along the way.

That’s the kind of culture of training we should want to be part of. Keep showing up. Keep doing hard things. Help the people around you get better. Then keep going.
