This weekend! @physical_interface will be supplying merch, cd’s etc and the usual wares + more by pals at the big @texturemag / @rrrrroca / @portraitureplatform convergence at @avaloncafebermondsey , unquantifiable amount of beautiful music on this lineup show up early for live sets and stay into the eve for DJ’s xxxx

+ me (@piggybankshoe ) will be out of DJ retirement to provide some enlivening/enlightened music for dancing later on in in the evening

Texture Magazine + Roca host New York label Portraiture for a warm end to the summer, featuring friends from far and wide. There will be zines, merch, and more from Physical Interface and friends, and those attending are invited to bring some food to share throughout the day :~)

☕️ Our cafe is open as usual Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:00. Come by for all day breakfast, sandwiches and teas and coffees. The kitchen starts to close at 14:45 so please make sure you get any food orders in before that time! Thanks & see you soon❤️

A few weeks ago this summer compilation album was released called 'Still Warm' on a small label called in London .. I was delighted when @boy.lucid asked me to contribute a track. It's such a gorgeous collection of music.

@olihyphenryan helped me record and produce the track and it's called 'No chance of Rain'. It was a lot of fun! It has a sample from a morning breakfast radio show that I recorded on my phone in a jeep on the road to Bo from Freetown, Sierra Leone with @jimclarke9547 and @duff_fluff when we visited there in March with the Irish Embassy. It hadn't rained there in several months, just coming to the end of the dry season and the presenter was delightedly announcing no chance of rain again and again!!

The track is also inspired by the clashing of sound waves that you can hear on the melodeon very clearly as the 2 tones repeat in and out creating a beating or vibrato sound.

The compilation is on Bandcamp and the lovely handmade tees with artwork by @nunez______ can be bought there too.
