🎬 There is something extra special about watching a childhood friend bring a film to life, especially when you get to celebrate it right here in Burbank. 💛

My good friend Jacquelynn Remery-Pearson is the Executive Producer of the @babyclausemovie and I was so excited to attend a private screening of the feature edit at the AMC 16 here in @downtownburbank this summer!

The movie is so much fun, and filled with all the feel-good romantic comedy you could ask for. But underneath all of that charm, it also touches on so many real and relatable topics, including divorce, postpartum depression, blended families, single parenting, our biological clock, and the many unexpected ways family can take shape.

The Baby Clause follows Bianca, a career-driven woman determined to become a single mom, whose carefully made plans take a turn when a precocious preteen decides to play matchmaker between her and his jaded single dad, Donovan. 💕

The journey behind the film is pretty incredible too. It began with a Kickstarter campaign, was shot in just 8 days, and utilized local locations, including @thenewdealrestaurant in Burbank. It was originally shot and developed for the growing vertical storytelling space, before being brought together as a feature edit.

And now it’s earning some well-deserved recognition, including Best Picture at the Los Angeles Film Awards in June, along with a growing list of additional film and screenplay awards. 🏆

I’m just so proud of Jacquelynn and the entire team behind this film. There is something really inspiring about seeing an independent project grow from an idea, to crowdfunding, to an 8-day shoot, to a Burbank screening, and now to award wins.

Congratulations to everyone behind The Baby Clause. 🎬💕 I can’t wait to see where this film goes next!

So when I was in Germany 🇩🇪 I randomly out of nowhere found the German DVD of the movie Discarnte in an electronics store during check out. It blew my mind! So they call it Shape Shifter. Anyway this is how the box art became with a insane shot on what I like to call the Pro Nightmare Jib fully extended to the max where we had to do a huge swing to hillside with the tree root hanging out. Ryan Stevens Harris controlling the remote head, I’m doing the focus and John Micheal Elfers is control the swing. Fun times. #Discarntemovie #filmmaking #movie #monsters #dvd

Today's Character/Actor appreciation post is for Taylor played by Haven Lee Harris.

Taylor is Gabby's best friend/neighbor/sister/forever partner in crime. She is the reality-check to Gabby's daydreams and tries to protect her best friend... But when Gabby won't listen she becomes her accomplice and dives in with her whole heart. She also is the bane of Donovan's existence because he can't keep enough snacks in the house for her.

Haven plays Taylor to a T! Displaying perfect comedic timing while still being the soft place her bestie needs. Her strong improv made for some of our favorite lines and her effortless camaraderie with Donovan made their interactions absolutely hilarious! She came to set every day ready to put in the work and absolutely slay!

Yesterday Haven became a teenager! I feel like I barely blinked and now my beautiful baby girl is 13! Twelve, was a big year of change and growth. We said goodbye to our beloved private school and made the switch to public in August. Haven is loving being at a big school and all the activities. She’s now a show choir girl, in GATE (getting all A’s), drama club and thinks P.E. is the best class ever and actually enjoys the Thursday runs (says extra cardio for soccer). We had our first full year in our new home and we love it so much! Haven swims almost daily, no matter the weather, and loves exploring the neighborhood and going on runs. She started guitar lessons over the summer and takes piano lessons with grandma. She started private soccer training again and made the ID 64 roster for the second year in a row as a top forward. Haven did a ton of acting and performing. She played the Mad Hatter in Alice and Wonderland, went to a three week acting camp, show choir camp and joined an Improv troupe. She acted in a feature film and was reminded how much she loves being on camera. Acting is truly one of her passions and she’s so natural and comfortable in front of the camera. She continues to croquet adorable creatures and has started making clothes. We stay very busy in our house, but despite all the activities, the best moments are always with friends and family. We traveled a lot, from AZ to Ohio, to NY and Connecticut. We had tons of sleepovers and many wonderful adventures with friends. Haven has the biggest heart and loves fully. She’s blessed to have a core group of besties who have all been friends since they were babies and they are her greatest treasures. I hear these teen years are wild. I hope that means wild fun! Regardless of what the teen years bring, I’m so thankful everyday that I got chosen to be Haven’s mom. I’ll be her rock is these crazy times and love it all. It really does go by too fast! Happy birthday beautiful girl! You are so loved and I’m so proud and honored to be your mom!

Movie name -Moon Garden (2022)
Watch - Tubi

If the plot matched the visuals in this movie it would be incredible. Sadly the plot lacks a little. Still a very interesting watch.

A comatose five-year-old girl journeys through an industrial wonderland to find her way back to consciousness.
