“This moment is so very tangible. Even though my eyes were closed I know each person was present, attentive and taking deep breaths.

The fireplace in all her glory behind me making me feel confident and fiery, as if this is my house, come on in Architectural Digest, there’s room for everyone.

James Taylor harmonies, need I say more.

This moment I was held, honored, and adorned. This could not have happened without the retreat team and bbs, I am so grateful.” -Rachel

“The power of being seen

The power of speaking your truth through the uncomfortable

The power of letting the desire arise and be set at ease with clarity

I have such gratitude for this power house team of bbs. There simply isn’t a unit of measurement large enough to measure the love and space I want to always hold for you all.” -Rachel

Photo Recap of 2022 Feb - July: Feb, I saw my first professional hockey match. March was a big month of activity. I went to Miami on a business trip and saw the sunrise over the ocean, my boys were as cute as ever, my 2nd nephew joined the world. April, I went to the dogfish head brewery for the first time and spent a really fun weekend exploring Delaware. I also went on a week long retreat in the middle of New Mexico and met some incredible people. May, really got into fermentation and made a TON of kombucha. June, celebrated my 30th birthday by hiking in Acadia national park and conquering a very deep fear of heights. Also went to my first NYC pride parade and was able to see one of the retreat bbs! July, last but not least Maple joined our family, and our lives have not been the same since.

“I'm a fixer. I see so many things in this world that are broken or neglected, and I just want someone to do something. That's how I've lived, I just want to help.

I can still remember Vanessa's voice as she smiles warmly and simply states, "There is no problem here." And she's right. I stop. I breathe. I notice that I am rested, loved, fed, whole. We are already enough.

The Week Retreat re-directed me to a set of tools in my pocket and asked "hey, what's this?" For instance, since the retreat, I try now to empower others and myself instead of "fix" situations. I feel confident in my ability to nourish myself physically and spiritually. My brain has a concrete reference for safety, love, and communication.

Since the retreat, the urgency of doom looms far and away like a dark cloud. I look around and realize what is really present, right now. The fixer becomes a lover, an explorer, a dreamer, once more.” -Julia
