Clarice's Junior Year photo/video dump is finally here!

I put a few clips of most of the performances I did this year, save for two I did while deathly ill. You wouldn't believe- I ploughed through a Bach aria over an orchestra while fighting for my vocal folds to even make noise, and sang the famous Queen of the Night aria while just getting over a virus.

I loved the music I worked on for concerto competition, spring opera and Jake's performance in the guitar recital, and I learnt a great deal about my voice and myself.

I got to play in snow for the first time, and I can now say for certain that I do not hate winter anymore... But only because of snow. Everything else is dreadful. I built a mini-snow princess outside my door with the snow that piled up.

I am grateful to have friends that support me and care about me. I have never had a harder time bouncing back from grief- an ongoing struggle. My friends are fun, loving, understanding and supportive of my endeavors and goals, and they really showed up for me this year. They helped me to find beauty and fun in life again.

Speaking of finding joy again, I love my scooter. I wish I had it sooner, because I fell and scuffed my ankle literally the day I moved in on campus, and couldn't walk for almost a month. Many thanks to the mud in the Center Stage tunnel, and thank you again, Ava, for taking me to and from the ER and staying with me. 🩷

Juggling my grief with an almost completely full schedule with two languages, the famously content-rich History of Music Styles class, Theory 5 and Aural Skills 5, the blessing that was the sheer amount of repertoire I tackled this year, and my two wonderful aural skills classes I was teaching assistant for.... Was a very hard juggling gig. But very, very rewarding. I am happy with my progress this year! I didn't know I could handle all that... Well, I did, actually. This is kind of just Form 3 in secondary school.

What a blessing this year has been. Cheers! I have a show coming up, so stay tuned for that! 🩷
