Once upon a backpacking trail, a little boy from the Netherlands found himself in the chaos and calm of Kolkata — a city that spoke in stories. He wandered through its half-lit lanes, tasted the poetry in its food, and felt time slow down to the rhythm of tram bells and evening rain. Something about this city stayed with him — the warmth, the wonder, the unhurried beauty of its heartbeats.

Years later, when Arjen met Diptasri, he realised what the city had been trying to tell him all along — that love, like Kolkata, is timeless, layered, and full of soul.

So From the cobbled paths of Amsterdam to the quiet corners of Calcutta — this is where love found its language and we at @theknotbook_ and @rtd_event_manager take immense pleasure in presenting to you a very special video - GEZELLIG IN KOLKATA (In Dutch, "gezellig" describes a positive atmosphere that is cozy, pleasant, and convivial, encompassing a sense of comfort, warmth, and togetherness.)

Like Tagore’s timeless song, “Ami chini go chini tomare, ogo bideshinee,”
their story is a recognition, a remembering—
the foreign, once distant,
now made intimate and eternal.

Kolkata’s nostalgia hums in every frame—
the rustle of old bylanes,
the laughter spilling like monsoon rain,
the music of a family that does not just witness love,
but scores it,
weaving their own heartbeat into the soundtrack.

This is not a photoshoot,
but a lived poem,
a celebration that lingers like the aftertaste of homecoming.

Come, take the first step with us—

This is an old but beautiful memory of my life. Each and every step and every layer was being customised by @sagnik.

This cake was for the renowned Music director+Composer Surendra -soumyajit.

On his 40 th birthday I baked this cake according to his choices.
His dhoti, tanpura, jasmine flower, potoler misti...

I was overjoyed when I got the msg from Sagnik " Didi half cake ses" 😄😄😄

Whenever he needed a special cake, he always gets in touch with me.

Thank you so much Sagnik for keeping this trust.
