We're over a day removed from @makecomicsfestival weekend, and after a day of being dead to the world, I feel like I might be able to find some words to help express how I'm feeling.

One of our committee members said it best when they called it a life-affirmingly good weekend. We got to spend all weekend surrounded by the most passionate, generous, caring, supportive and talented people, and we played a part in bringing them into the same spaces at the same time. The Australian comics community is so incredible, and willing to go so far out of their way and give so much of their time just to make the community grow and become stronger. Every single person that touched this weekend in any way, from speakers to tablers to patrons to organisers to volunteers all brought such an incredible positive energy, and a high that is hard to come down from.

Thank you so much to the speakers, panelists, tablers and especially the volunteers that took a chance on our start up festival. You came from all over Australia and put your trust in us, MAKE doesn't exist without you doing that for us. I'm so humbled and thankful to all of you, I hope you had a great experience and we can pay back your trust by making things bigger and better for you in the future.

Our fellow committee members are such an amazing group of people, we came together like a puzzle and pulled it off together, with so many people giving so much to get the event across the line. I can't imagine it happening without any one of them, and I'm already excited to get together to bring the next one to life.

-->Swipe to the next one photo, go on, I've got more to say, though to be fair, it's just going to be more yapping.-->

There are so many more people to thank, venues and coordinators that gave their space and time, those that helped us through fundraisers, everyone who said something nice to us when I was at max anxiety and ready to explode. I'm overwhelmed with the gratitude that I feel towards so many people.  I had the chance to speak to so many of you, but I also missed out on speaking to a ton of people over the course of the weekend, I wish I could have let my mind slow down and talk to everyone, espec

It’s the final few days to see Animal Gift at Arts Project Australia in Naarm (finishes Saturday, I believe). One of my fave projects I’ve worked on. It was a dream before it began and it was dreamy the whole way through. Such an honour to work with these incredibly talented and beautiful artists and everyone at Arts Project Australia too. I’ll be thinking about this for the rest of my life. Thank you especially to wonderful humans Liz Nowell and Sarah Lamanna and Jo Salt, but also thank you to everyone at Arts Project Australia and all the artists (my dear ones! Tahlia, Sharkie, Billie, Abdul-Rahman, Danielle ✨) and everyone that came to see it.

Thank you to all the animals out there!
