HOW I GOT HERE PART 7!!

It’s really cool to be able to reflect on a lot of these lessons that have helped keep me on my path to hopefully soon becoming a scratch golfer.

A super quick and effective drill for you guys to try if you find yourself not setting the club in place from the start of your swing.

This allows so much room for consistency in your swing and when doing it properly makes for less thinking on the course as to why your not swinging properly.

Now do note that there is a whole lot more to it, but golf is hard and if you can minimise the amount of thinking when playing, then your on your way to dropping shots off your score.

Again, hope you are all enjoying these videos. Plenty more to come. 👐🏽

How I got here Part 6!!!

I dont know what will work for you, but i do know one thing! Giving myself the knowledge by attempting a lot of things at the range has given me so much feed back compared to just trying to hit straight shots!

Learning basic set ups and ball contact is an obvious way I would start at the range if you are just getting into golf.

I will get into the basic stuff as we go, however will just be brief on what I did for myself.

Hope these videos are helping in some way. 👐🏽
Remember, everyones journey is different, so don’t compare. Just work 👊🏽

“HOW I GOT HERE”! Part 5

Todays journey notes guys is about filming. I can honestly say, because I have not had one lesson to date. Filming myself on the range but, also on the course has helped me in sooo many ways. Because, sometimes the feels in your swing dont always translate into the swing.

Obviously there you can go into technical stuff with it, but im only here to share what has helped me. Not teach anyone how to swing. 👐🏽

Get filming team!

How I got here Part 4

Sit and talk with a little insight into why I think my up bringing has helped me with my game! Nothing deep, just navigating through my lenses as to what are the possibilities as to why or how.

Sport is a huge part of my identity, if you know me. Then you know what it means to me. Growing up, it was my safe space, my happy place where I felt i could be anything.

Maturing and using that skill today has helped me in so many ways. Being able to not be afraid to fail is my biggest asset i believe in anything I do.

So my advice to you guys, learn to enjoy failure, learn to understand that without failure, you cannot get better.

Im loving this series because it is helping me reflect on this journey so far.

Thank you all for the support!

I’m Divot Bro, and I’m putting out an open challenge to golfers around the world. Take me on over 9 holes of match play at Mandalay Golf Club.

Here’s how it works:

⛳ Comment your handicap below
⛳ Over a 6 handicap? You get shots.
⛳ 6 or under? We play off scratch, no excuses

Whether you’re a single-figure player or you’ve never broken 100, you’re welcome. Plenty of matches are won with a few shots in the bag, so don’t count yourself out.

Every match goes up on the channel. You can catch the full series on YouTube, and I’ll be posting the best bits here as we go.

So what’s your handicap? Drop it in the comments and tag a mate who reckons they can take me down. 👇

Take on Divot Bro. Shots on me.

“HOW I GOT HERE” part 3!

I can honestly say, not caring or worrying about what anyone else thinks or judges me on, has become a super power for me.

Being able to go outside of my comfort zone and attempt shots that were way outside of my skill level at the time has helped me understand myself and what I was capable of even though it goes against the grain of a normal person getting into this sport.

These videos are merely a glimpse into the things that I did when I spend my time at the range. And when i chose to go, It was methodical and purposeful.

I had a mission, and that was simply to just get better and better.

I am really enjoying these reflections on what has helped me go from a 15HCP to a 2HCP in just over a year and I hope you all get something from any one of my videos.

Cheers team and as always! Good luck on your journey.
