Introducing the Academy’s Intern Short Film Spotlight! This month, we’re highlighting Ruby Price (2025 Summer Camp Intern)!

Ruby Price is a student director and cinematographer based in Syracuse, NY. She is currently working towards a BFA in the Film Conservatory at Purchase College and a former Summer camp Intern at American High. She collaborates often with other emerging filmmakers within the camera and production design departments. Because of her experience in these areas, her films are rich in visual storytelling and fun, textured environments.

Ruby’s Junior Thesis “Dollhouse” explores how female friendships behave amid the ritual that is a high school prom. With this piece she aims to “foster a world where teenage girls can expose their imperfect desires and to shine light on the discomfort within a polished facade”.

Written / Directed / Edited - Ruby Price @ruby__price
