Dance is expression. It’s freedom. It’s a way of coming out of our heads and back into our bodies.
To move our hips, to shake, to undulate, to feel alive in the skin we were given. I believe that’s a gift from source. ✨🙏🏼 A woman moving her body is not inherently sexual.

Can dance be sexual? Of course. Anything can carry that intention. But a woman dancing does not automatically mean she is sexualising herself or asking to be seen sexually. Sometimes that interpretation comes from the lens she is being viewed through. 🙏🏼

And I don’t believe our movement needs to be hidden away or reserved only for our partners or husbands either.

There is something beautiful about feeling at home in your own body. About releasing what you’ve been holding and controlling. About laughing, moving, expressing, grounding and simply enjoying being alive instead of being in a constant state of survival or performance mode. That is the most exhausting feeling, and I know because I have been there and still find myself in the old patterns of survival mode.

Whether it’s somatic movement, feminine embodiment, choreography, dancing in your kitchen while doing the washing, in a class, at a disco, or laughing and dancing with your lover, they all hold and reveal different parts of us. 🤍
They can teach us where we’re still holding on to control, perfection and criticism, and invite us instead into play, joy and letting go.

These are tools that can help us uncover the systems and patterns living within us. Not so we can shame them or try to immediately fix them, but so we can bring them into the light and get curious about what they’re showing us.🌀

Dance is a gift and it’s a tool that helps move me through this world, and I’m on a mission to help more women receive the gift of dance ❤️

I ovulated yesterday so guess I just wanna say a shoutout to the WOMEN in my life who keep me sane (only two of the many featured here!!) 🤌🏼✨

And then to MOTHER NATURE, my home girl. My number 1. There ain't nobody like you. Nobody and nothing that quite eases my soul the way you can. Thank you for your mountains, oceans, etc etc. Love of my life, really.

Feeling very ready for Summertime in the Cape. Salty. Sandy. Sweaty. Sensual.

Yeee. I'm there.

In constant awe that THIS is my home. 🥹🤲🏼🌌🌊🍃🌅

Looking forward to this next season of my life... to truly lean into the joy of Courage, Play Sensuality + Sisterhood.

P.s I will be sharing details for my upcoming IN-PERSON women's circle soon 😭😭 do you knowwww that it's been the longest time since I held space in Cape Town for y'all and I cannot wait!

Feel free to comment or pop me a DM with the word "circle" if you know you'd like to be there so I can make sure to contact you directly! 😍

Open the hips. Free the upper body. Breathe deep and let it feel good. It’s not just about the move, it’s how you melt from one into the next.
You’re not a robot. Slow down. Feel it & Let your breath lead. #mobility #ɴᴇᴡᴅʀᴏᴘ

Inside, we focus on three things:

STRENGTH
Practices that build strength, stability, mobility and body awareness, creating the foundations for more freedom in your body & movement.

CONNECTION
Learning to feel your body rather than watching and judging it from the outside. Experiencing movement from the inside out.

EXPRESSION
Dance concepts, somatics, choreography, play and fluid movement that give you space to explore, let go and move like YOU.

Expression over performance 😍

Because the freedom you’re looking for in your movement starts with building a body that feels strong, soft & safe enough to explore it.

I love improv ✨

It helps you get out of your head, inspires new movement and new pathways into movement, and gives your inner world a chance to speak. 🙌🏼

Start by choosing an element or simply put on a song @spotifyafrica and allow your body to respond. No overthinking, no expectations. Just listen, move, and see what unfolds.

Happy Friday 🤍 #sensuwell #dance #movementartist #improvisationtools
