One of my favourite pieces I composed for The Dance Company’s original contemporary dance production, inspired by @annedemarcken novel It Lasts Forever And Then It’s Over.

This piece was written to capture the quiet sadness, loneliness and longing of the story’s protagonist as she wanders through the end of the world searching for a love that can never truly return. Built around expressive guitar melodies, whimsical synth textures and delicate piano flourishes, the music unfolds freely without a fixed pulse or time signature, allowing the emotion to lead every moment.

Seeing this music transformed through movement was an incredible experience. A huge thank you to everyone involved in The Dance Company for bringing this piece to life with such beautiful performances, and to @kingstonunidance , @kingstonunimusic and @kingstonuniversity for making this production possible.

If you performed in this piece and I’ve missed your tag, leave a comment below and I’ll tag you! 🖤

✨ Capturing Kindness ✨ #4

People like @tracefull13 don’t just show up. They stay, give, and give again, year after year. And that’s why we want to celebrate her this week 🫶🏽

Thanks to Tracey and the wonderful @missfoy, we have received more volunteers from @bnpparibas than any other corporate partner! Tracey and team are always thinking about us, whether it’s putting our name forward for fundraisers or sharing gifts with our children 💝

One event which Tracey organised particularly stands out to us. Tracey was there from the crack of dawn until late at night, making sure everything ran smoothly for this 12-hour cycling fundraiser. And when one of the participants dropped out unexpectedly, she didn’t hesitate for a second and jumped on the bike herself 🤩🥹

This Summer, Tracey came to volunteer with her lovely children @rubyfu21er @lailayoungx and @finyounggg. They were all brilliant with our kids and brought a wonderful energy with them just like their mum 🥰

Tracey, thank you for being a force of kindness, energy, and inspiration. And thank you for being involved in so many of our projects behind the scenes. We love you so much 🩵🩵
