From prep to completion over three days Cleaning solution 1hr, drying 2days, Wattyl Forestwood Deck and Timber Stain in Red Kwila 1hour application, 1 hour drying between 2 coats later, BOOM watch this space!

On the 28th of April I spoke at a bowls tournament for our Central Districts Branch. I talked with a Dad who had lost his daughter with CF at the age of 15 in the UK, and an uncle who lost two of his nieces to CF. 🫶

There was a time when people with CF didn’t have a life expectancy past their teenage years and it was a stark reminder of how far we’ve come since 1968 when CFNZ was first established by parents for parents.

From the moment our families receive a diagnosis, life will never be the same. It impacts every member of a family and support circle - children, siblings, parents, carers, grandparents, partners, wider family members, and friends.

On the 2nd of May we took time to pause. We took time to reflect on the progress that’s been made over the last 12 months. We honoured all those from New Zealand and around the world who have lost their fight to CF and those who live every day with CF, with courage and determination.

We reiterated our commitment to keep doing the best for our community living with the daily challenges that go hand in hand with CF. That CFNZ is here and we’ll continue to walk beside our community for all of it.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended, and gave their time and support to help us raise awareness for CF Awareness Month. 🙏💙🧸
