COME BACK HOME! 🏠💚

This Saturday is all about reconnecting, celebrating our culture, and getting back out there together.

We’re repping where we came from, so pull out your college gear, rock your Greek letters, and show up ready to celebrate! 🤝🏾🎶

Same community. Same energy. Just like home.

Tag your run club family and tell them it’s time to come home!🔥

For the moms who are running a business, running errands, running kids around, and somehow still trying to figure out what’s for lunch. 😂🙋🏽‍♀️

Because sometimes you need a quick, healthy lunch between appointments, sometimes you need to knock out a few emails, and sometimes you just want to sit somewhere cute and eat without anyone needing anything from you for 30 minutes. 🙃

Here are 7 KC lunch spots worth sneaking away to!

🌸 1. Flower Child @eatflowerchild — Prairie Village
For when you want something fresh, healthy, and quick because you’ve got approximately 37 other things to do today.

🥪 2. The Russell @therussellonmain — Midtown KC
For when you want to slow down for a minute, eat something really good, and pretend your to-do list doesn’t exist.

🥗 3. Billie’s Grocery @billiesgrocery — Midtown KC
For when you feel like treating yourself to an actual lunch instead of eating whatever you found in your car.

☕ 4. Aurora Café & Bakery @auroracafeandbakery — Overland Park
A cute little hidden gem for a good sandwich, coffee, and maybe a pastry for later. Because obviously.

🍓 5. Ruby Jean’s Juicery @rubyjeansjuicery — KCMO
For when you’ve been taking care of everyone else all morning and realize you should probably put something nutritious in your own body.

🌿 6. Enjoy Pure Food + Drink @enjoypurefood — Lenexa/Leawood
Started by a fellow mom entrepreneur who gets the struggle of finding healthy food on a busy day. We love a woman who sees a problem and builds a business around it. 👏🏽

🍳 7. Hemma Hemma Dinette @hemmadinette — Downtown KC
For when you have a little time between meetings and want a fun lunch spot that feels like a mini escape from your day.

Nothing fancy, just a few good places to grab lunch, catch up on life, or enjoy a little peace before it’s back to the chaos.

📌 Save this for the next time you’re out and about and can’t decide where to eat!

KC moms, what’s your go-to lunch spot that more people need to know about? 👇🏽

Ruby Jeans got a NEW FALL MENU 🍂👀

I saw a SWEET POTATO SMOOTHIE and my big back card started TINGLING! 😭💳 The Harvest Bowl was hearty, and they snuck some beets in there… I’m NGL, that mf STILL CRACKED! 🔥🥗

BUT THE REAL REASON WE SLID? THE VEGAN GUMBO! 🍲🌱 I ain’t gon’ lie, usually I’m asking “WHERE THE MEAT AT?!” PAUSE 😭😂 But both dishes surprised me because they really didn’t need it! Flavor was FLAVORING!

Review incoming 👀 So slide to Ruby Jeans and tell ’em THE HOOD DUDE SENT YA! 🤝🏾💚

$There’s something deeply sacred about being available to our elders. When life expectancy is so often cut short in our community, we pay a steep cost. Our legacies get fractured and continuity is lost. We start over every time. At the end of September we brought fresh juice to Chouteau Square Towers with no barriers. They shared their wisdom with us, and that meant so much to me. My grandparents are all gone now, and the feeling of hearing from their peers is hard to explain. Meeting people where they are is beyond talking. It’s showing up foreal. We have to build bridges from yesterday to today. It’s a must. A @rubyjeansfoundation effort. Thank you @phoenixfamily for hosting, and @goodnature for sponsoring my street juicing series with the Hummingbird juicer that lets me make juice all around the community. It was a short time, but a very rich time. We make juice for a reason! 🙏🏾🧡$
