Some of the best songwriting happens when you put the guitar down. Today wasn’t about writing songs—it was about filling the well. I spent the morning at San Diego Pride supporting my wife and her roller derby team, wandered through Balboa Park listening to street musicians, and ended the night at a Bloom Room Collective house show featuring incredible local artists. I’m realizing that creativity isn’t just something we make alone. It grows through community, conversation, encouragement, and showing up for one another. Maybe becoming a better songwriter starts with becoming a better neighbor. If you’re a songwriter, musician, artist, or creative trying to build a meaningful life while making meaningful art, I’d love to have you along for the journey. #Songwriting #IndependentArtist #CreativeProcess #SanDiegoMusic #IndieMusic

i was solving the trolley problem but had to do a quick plug for this festival happening THIS WEEK. as cliche as “come support the local scene” sounds this really is the local-est show you can find, it’s such a cool cross section of different genres and sounds.
