Meet the speaker for This & That: Noah Coinflip @noah_coinflip

Noah is a Seattle DJ and producer who spins real vinyl. On October 17 he’s in the room with us at Ruby Room Recordings, sharing his music and what producing has taught him so far.

We asked him what he wishes someone had told him when he started producing. His answer is on the second slide, and it’s the idea this whole event is built on: the people around you and the scene you show up for matter as much as the hours you put in on your own.

This & That is a producer linkup hosted by Samurai Del @samuraidel. Open networking, shared knowledge and listening sessions, in a Seattle recording studio. Bring something to play or show, no finished project needed.

Fifteen spots in total, so the people you meet are people you’ll actually get to talk to. You don’t need an account to get a ticket, and you can get up to four if you’re bringing friends. Ticket sales close when the event starts, so there are no
tickets at the door.

•Saturday, October 17
•6:30 to 9:30 PM
•4800 Airport Way S Seattle

Listening hard to the new Darts and Black Viiolet mixes 🤘🏽 (and having a blast with session keys for @dirthag_music simultaneously)

the producers are killing it , and that somehow gives me permission to be an extra fussy diva 😀 and I am grateful beyond words for their patience with me 🙏🏼

The choices they make - a certain tremolo, a different distortion, panning a backing vocal - always surprise and delight me so much. As Marion said, opening these files feels a little like Xmas

PS THANK UUUU to everyone who has been blowing up our Bandcamp with orders for tees and records - I never shipped so much stuff to Australia before 😆

It’s finally here. I’m excited to officially announce the first event with @northconnectnw.

If you know me, you know I’ve spent countless hours building this company, and that’s because I truly believe in the positive impact it will have on the creative community in the Pacific Northwest. This is the beginning of something everlasting, and I can’t wait to share more on what’s to come.

Seattle has never been short of talent, only its rooms. Behind every collaboration is a room where two people happened to be standing near each other, and those rooms used to happen by accident. North Connect is about making sure you’re in the right room, at the right time, building with likeminded people.

This & That — a producer linkup at @rubyroommusic, hosted by @samuraidel, with special speaker @noah_coinflip.

• Saturday, October 17th
• Doors open at 6:30pm
• 7 of 15 spots left
• Optional listening session - bring your work and show it to the room

Tickets at northconnectstudio.com - link in bio.

Thirteen songs .. all the vocals today.

It was a joy and supreme pleasure to work with @xuxu.hq again at @rubyroommusic - he has done the Black Viiolet vocals on all three LPs now 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I chose this studio solely because I noticed the crystal vocals they got on their recordings and they have lived up to that expectation a hundred fold IMO 💕💕

I wore my lucky boots and I think it worked
