Rubys Rumble - Last Thursday of the month at @imperialerskineville

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I thought I should upload some photos to just reflect on the four years of doing Drag and being at the imperial of shed a lot of life experience none of it’s escalated into drama though but I had a lot of people supporting me. Made new friends got some excellent feedback found queen who really did some up Priscilla Queen of the desert at the time, but not now. I understood my strength. I understood them many ways of entertaining helping people supporting people and respecting people but also a valuable lesson for people. I also learnt how to tolerate people. However the people in these photos I never once needed to tolerate them oh my dad has been the cornerstone of support when it came to my Drag even though he’s not comfortable to be in a gay he still shows up for some of the queens have helped me understand my shakiness at the beginning of Drag and to not take myself too seriously. My best friend Josh has been with me for more than 10 years. The imperial was the first time I got him to go on stage as himself the second time I got him to show up as a queen. He said to me he was terrified when he first did it but he was relieved when he finished. I made friends the imperial that I could nearly call family with helped each other out. There are so many kings and queens I could mention but I do want to highlight the ones that have been consistent through my journey drag between @farrenh and @rubyroyaleofficial Ferrenh was my favourite not because she was well known or anything like that but she ruled the imperial with a strong fist and threatened to fist anyone who would cause trouble at the imperial not to mention she reminded me of the late Terence stamp because she always gave me the look of death every time I got her name slightly wrong by a few spelling errors sorry for that. I did mention I was dyslexic I still miss lip sync heroes over Ruby Rumble I also liked Ruby when she always had the most funniest way of flirting with my best friend it was a Will there, won’t dynamic however spoiler alert. There was never be a will there there’s so many stories I could give about my time at the imperial. But thought you should know I’m good at jelly wrestling.🤣

DIVAs

What an absolute hoot and a half this years DIVAs was! So beyond proud of the absolutely iconic and amazing drag scene we have in Sydney.

I am blessed to be surrounded by such a strong and caring support unit who continue to uplift me and push me to the best I can, love you all so much. Also so crazy to believe I not only got my first ever DIVA nomination but 3 in categories working with my favourite people.

Love and light and now time for a nap 💕
