My first job was at an amazing diner chain called Ruby’s Diner. I loved working at @rubysdiner. It felt magical to be that close to endless fries— and spending time in a slice of the 1940’s. I remember spending my lunch breaks sitting with fries and a pen, writing my first book. The fact that I get to come back to South Coast for a book event at @bncostamesaca is amazing and the kid inside of me is screaming with joy.

If you are free, join me on Sunday October 18th at 11am at Barnes & Noble South Coast Plaza! Come listen to the first chapter of my debut graphic novel, SPY GRANDMA, take a picture with our favorite spy, and of course, get a copy of SPY GRANDMA signed! I hope to see you there!

Brrr. It’s chilly today! This dress is not for sale (sorry) but thought I’d write about it as my favourite dress.

Discovered in a charity shop on a day trip to Cambridge over 10 years ago - this has been my companion to thrift shopping (and Ruby’s vegan burger) in Palm Springs, our getaway to the blue roofs of Santorini Greece and my (long ago) hen do in London.

1950s / 1960s (so 70 years old at least) blue gingham with embroidery at the bodice. It is so easy to wear and I hope it’ll have many more outings when summer rolls around again!

POV: You just stepped into a classic American diner straight out of the ’50s. 🇺🇸🍔🥤

Burgers, fries, milkshakes, retro vibes and classic cars - it doesn’t get much more American than this. ❤️ @rubysdiner

Definitely one of those spots you have to experience on a California road trip! 🌴🇺🇸

THREE?! How did we get here?! 🥹💗 Aaaaaand apparently, when you turn 3, your birthday lasts TWO MONTHS. 😂🎂✨

From her Trolls party in July while we were back home in Wichita, to the grand finale of her birthday celebrations this past weekend in Newport Beach… we really went all in and made sure this birthday wave didn’t stop. 🌊🦭🏖️ We shore hope Harper knows how loved she is! 💕

Not quite sure how we’re going to explain that 4th birthdays only get ONE day. 😂💗 #harperrose #thebig3 #shoreisloved #beachybaby #newportbeachadventures
