Time for our last #NEWMEMBERMONDAY 💖

Sophia is a first year Human Biology major from San Clemente, California. She chose Pi Phi because: "The girls I met seemed so genuine and welcoming I knew I would make friendships for life. I am most excited for fall recruitment to find a little and extend my fam!"

Siena is a first year Business Economics major from Orange County, California. She chose Pi Phi because: "When I first talked to everyone during COB, everyone was super sweet and genuine. Eleanor is a first year Business Economics major from Orange County, California. She chose Pi Phi because: "I genuinely loved everyone I met during my coffee chats and felt like knew these girls for years. Everyone was so welcoming, supportive, and I could truly see myself growing alongside the members while building lifelong friendships! I’m so excited to further explore this sisterhood and make more memories with my fam!"

Ruby is a second year Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and I’m a second year from Mission Viejo, California. She chose Pi Phi because: "It felt like home from the very beginning. I was welcomed with so much kindness from all of the girls, and it quickly became a place where I felt like I truly belonged and where everyone genuinely supports each other. I’m excited to make even more memories next year through sisterhoods and chapter events while continuing to grow closer with my sisters."

Callie is a first year General Biology major from Petaluma, California! She chose Pi Phi because: "All the girls were so welcoming and supportive creating a home away from home for me. Everyone is so genuine and I look forward to creating so many lifelong friendships! I am super excited to get more i involved in our philanthropy, Read Lead Achieve, and to be apart of the sisterhood events next year!"

It’s hard to put into words what it’s been like watching Mitchell grow into the person he is today. Over the years, I’ve seen him chase big dreams, work tirelessly for the things that matter to him, and never lose sight of the people around him along the way.

Whether it was serving on ASB, building his business, pursuing a professional acting career, or graduating as valedictorian, he approached every opportunity with passion and purpose. He was selected for his school’s highest honor, the Navigator Award, recognizing the student who best exemplifies what it means to be a Voyager, and also received a scholarship from the Mission Viejo Company in recognition of his vision, purpose, and commitment to helping others. Those achievements are impressive, but they aren’t what make me most proud.

What I’ll remember most is hearing his teachers and principal go out of their way to tell me what I already witness all the time: that Mitchell is a genuinely good person to his core. As a parent, there is no award, title, or accomplishment that means more than hearing that your child treats people with kindness and true respect, and acts with integrity. His people are good, too.

This fall, he will begin the next chapter at Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television as a Film Production major, a top five film program he chose because of its emphasis on collaboration, creativity, and storytelling. It feels like the perfect fit for someone who has always valued bringing people together to create something meaningful.

Mitchell, your accomplishments have opened doors, but your character is what will carry you through them. Watching you become the young man you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. We love you. I couldn’t be prouder of you, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
