Mandalika gave us a little bit of everything. Heat rising from the asphalt, colour everywhere, and a paddock that seemed to get louder with every session.

Then Saturday changed the story. Two broken fingers, a different way to use the front brake, and a Sunday that started with more questions than answers. Raúl Fernández answered them on track.

Some weekends are about speed. Others show you everything that sits behind it. This one had both.

Indonesia, we’ll remember this one. 🇮🇩

Mandalika Madness | For the second fly-away GP the riders in REV’IT! were locked in in Lombok. The #IndonesianGP was not coming easy, but when going gets to tough – our #revitriders get going!

Starting off strong, @raulfernandez_25 made his intentions known on Friday by clocking a new all-time lap record and then carried on that blinding pace to take his first-ever Pole Position – Vamos! However, that starting position saw him in the wrong place at the wrong time into turn one, getting knocked into the gravel… Sprint Race over.

With broken fingers and a fire burning, come Grand Prix Sunday time, Raúl took the hole shot and powered away. Learning to brake with completely different fingers than usual as he pushed at the front, he heroically held his own. Ultimately, he had to relinquish the lead but held onto a hard-earned second… even if he had to lift that P2 trophy with his one good hand, top job!

In #Moto2 madness ensued into turn 1, with a big coming together at the front. @ivanortola48 managed to stay out of trouble on the inside, but on the outside, @collinveijerofficial was caught off guard by a rogue Kalex tank and seat unit bouncing across the track. It caused a Red Flag and full race restart.

All the Moto2 #revitriders made it to the restart and safely made it through turn 1. In the melee up front, Iván powered to a steady sixth place, while @alonsolopez_21 overcame a six-place grid penalty to fight to P8. Collin’s return to racing saw him just miss out on the Top-10 in P11. The two RW Racing riders in REV’IT! also brought home points, with @ayumusasaki_71 in P13 and @zonta84 in P15. Job done!

For @adrianhuertas99, points were just out of reach... He finished P16.

In #Moto3, @ruchemoodley21 had another uphill weekend. The South-African is not giving up, though. P20 leaves room for improvement, but it’s a race finish. Onto the next, Ruché!

Up next, we’re heading Down Under for the last AustralianGP at Phillip Island over the weekend of 23-25 of October. See you there!

50cc on Thursday. Slightly more by Sunday.
Austria has its own way of starting a MotoGP weekend.

Raúl Fernández kicked things off the local way, taking a moped around the Red Bull Ring before things got considerably faster.

Then came Spielberg in full: quiet Styrian hills, hard braking, bikes cutting through all that green, and a paddock shifting up a gear by the hour.

A weekend with plenty to watch, on and off the track.

Austria, that was fun. 🇦🇹

🇿🇦 RUCHE MOODLEY | AUSTRIAN GP 🇿🇦

A tough day at the office for South African youngster Ruche Moodley at the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Austria.

Starting from 25th on the grid, Moodley battled through a demanding 20-lap Moto3 race at the Red Bull Ring, eventually bringing his CODE Motorsports KTM home in 19th place.

It wasn’t the result Ruche and the team would have been looking for, but another valuable Moto3 Grand Prix experience gained at the highest level. 💪🇿🇦

Keep pushing, Ruche! 🔥

Thursday gave us rain.
Not exactly how we pictured a weekend on the Riviera starting, but Misano had other plans.
Then the colours came out, the bikes started flashing through them, and the paddock found that extra buzz it only gets on weekends like this.

A few kilometres from the Adriatic, considerably more hours in the paddock than at the beach, and plenty happening around us from morning to late.

For us, this one is close to home.
Maybe that’s why it always goes by too fast.
See you next time, Misano. 🇮🇹
